Am I the only one sick of people learning a few chords and strutting around like they're the emo-shi......could I say shit?

i dont really think anything is considered emo. the only reason we claim bands like senses fail and hawthorne heights are "emo" are becuase they're lyrics talk about slitting wrists, cutting and stuff like that. True "emo" bands like the get up kids didnt really express that. and how would you consider one emo, emotional? I bet we all get emotional and sensative at times, does that make us emo?
