My best friend's boyfriend doesnt cut. but does things to hurt himself because of what people do to him. He has a few cuts but not bad. Shes like cried to get him to stop but nothing she says works. and I'm close friends w/ him to. what do I do?

Personally, I don't think there is much you can do.
I have been at both ends of a situation like this.. I've been the cutter, and I've been the concerned friend. Either way, it's a tough situation and it's hard to deal with. If you talk to them and tell them you care, they most likely won't do anything about their habit unless they only cut for attention...then they may quit. Overall, there really isn't a whole lot you can do. Talk to him? If he won't listen and it gets to be a really bad thing, then maybe talk to his parents. I don't know. |
