ok i'll try explaining this in steps.
1. first of all, you need to download some brushes of course, so go to the big book of resources and go to a site and download a brush or two. 2. ok you downloaded the brushes, usually the brushes are in zip files so you need to extract them, extract them. 3. then you get all these files of the brushes right? highlight all of them and move them to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Brushes" 4. so now your brushes are in the correct place, you need to load them. open up photoshop cs. 5. lets first test this out, go to "file > new > ok", you just started a new file. 6. on the pallette (to the left), click the button with a brush on it, it's the brush tool, if you cant find then then just press "B" on ur keyboard 7. look on the top of the window, there should be a horizontal bar below all that FILE, EDIT, IMAGE all that stuff. 8. Right Under where it says "Image" and "Layer", it says "Brush: (???)" 9. the "(???)" can be any brush you have right now, on the right of that thing, theres a little arrow, click it. 10. so now you get this little menu thing, you should see like a whole list of brushes, but you want to load the new brushes that you downloaded. 11. theres another little round button on the right top of that menu, it's an arrow. 12. so then click that arrow, then click preset manager 13. so now you are in preset manager. you should see little 'boxes' of brushes that you already have. click load. 14. remember i said to move the new brushes to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Brushes? so go C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Brushes from the browser, double click the brush file and it will load, then click ok, and you are done. |
