mmm... so my mom just informed me about one of the iraqi television broadcast stations, i can't remember what they're called, but they're the ones that always show whenever osama bin ladin releases one of his tapes, or when they show the beheadings on air. anyone know what i'm talking about?
...anyway. they said things about how some people are blaming the united states and india for the tsunami. they believe that we have been testing our nuclear weapons underwater in asia, thus caused the massive storm. they are now in the process of creating a team to investigate for proof of this. ![]() ![]() ...keep in mind this is not meant to be a racist topic in the least bit, i'm just stating what i've heard on the news and what maybe some other people have heard, too. and i also apologize if there has been another topic on this. if so, go ahead and close it. |

QUOTE(MarchHare2UrAlice @ Jan 27 2005, 12:07 PM) how would we have saved them? the people in asia didn't even know that the tsunami was going to hit because they don't have a sensor system like a lot of other countries do. we can't keep on playing the "what if" game ... because yes, many people were killed, but we can't change that. We can't bring them back to life. And citizens of the U.S. are donating millions of dollars [even more than the government] to help out. Everyone's making the best of the situation as it stands...and if you would realize that we aren't super heroes with "spidey-senses" where we know when natural disasters are going to happen...then maybe you won't say something like that. |

He was merely responding to the person who asked God to bless the lives that were lost by saying that it would have been better if God had prevented their deaths in the first place. |
