Vertical Divider-Border?, help needed. Options

Hi, I began learning how to create a blog about an hour ago, and thus far I think I've gotten everything down. However, I'd like to use a vertical divider (or possibly just a border) separating my sidebar from my blog. You can see what I mean by viewing my test journal on Blogger. Is there any way that I could use an image such as the one I'm using horizontally? Or better yet, is there a way I can get a border going all the way around both the sidebar and the blog?
