cutting style |

i was wondering how people do a certain cut out style i see it in alot of layouts and i wanted to try it with a layout i'm making.. here is an example see on the very left hand side that cut out style on thepicture.. is their a tool on photoshop that does that? please post back... thanks

yes. Use rectangular marquee, choose the part where you want to be cut, and press delete.
