i know that there may be other factors, other motivators, but i just want to know, out of these choices, which one keeps you working the most? why do you study, why do you do homework, why do you pursue academics? by the way, if you, in fact, do not feel an obligation toward education, please do not vote or post in this thread.

reputation: my friends and peers know me as the "nerd" and nothing else, if that's not what I become, then what am I? money: because that's how society is. we're greedy, and we can't get the things we want unless we work for it. expectation: my dad is already disappointed in me because i got a B in math, and he's assuming I'm not getting into college (sheesh, wtf?). im aiming for the higher level colleges, i'll show him (grits teeth) esteem: same as above, i think. |
