i've always done gymnastics since i was 5 years old. (i'm 13 now). i do competition and i've devoted my monday, wednesday, thursday, and friday nights and saturday mornings to the sport. i've always been able to work around my schedule but now that i'm in middle school and i'm a teenager, i kind of want more time for homework, and to hang out with friends, and party, and go out on weekends. i still love gymnastics but it just doesn't seem like i'm getting anywhere. i'm also afraid about gaining weight. going from all that practice to maybe only working out once or twice a week is going to be horrible. i need some advice on what i should do.

thanks you guys. 1 thing that i'm considering is finding a good place for recreational so that if i decide that competition really is something that i want to pursue a career with and everything and do it in college, then i can always go back to it. i realized that it's still one of my passions and i should keep going with it but maybe take it a bit less seriously since i'm struggling so much.
how does that sound? |
