Do you believe that people often living in poor areas are mostly likely to commit a crime all the time? In history class, my teacher said no and i totally agree. Crimes can happen anywhere in the US. it dosent always have to be a poor area like the ghetto and stuff..it dosent matter..what do you guys think? I think of this really confusing too

Statistically, poor people commit more crimes than rich people.
It makes sense when you think about it... why would you commit a crime when you can get what you want legally? If you don't believe me, go walk for an hour in Greenwich, Connecticut, the richest suburb of NYC. Then take a taxi and go walk in Harlem or the inner city of NYC for an hour. Tell me where you feel safer. |

QUOTE(ComradeRed @ Dec 16 2004, 8:57 PM) It makes sense when you think about it... why would you commit a crime when you can get what you want legally? Quite true, but don't forget white collared crimes. Embezzlement? Those sort of crimes are very common and I may be wrong here, but I think statistically higher than blue collared crimes. Look at Martha Stewart for example. Whether you are a follower or not, she commited a white collared crime. |
