buying new ones is probably the best bet .. but next time, wash anything you use to apply makeup with. brushes, sponges, applicators, etc
rinse them with warm water. not to hot where you'll burn ur hands but not cold where it won't kill any bacteria growing. Rub some antibacterial soap on it (dish soap is sufficent) and scrub it as if u were washing your hair. when done, make sure all the soap is out. here's the tricky part. you want to squeeze the water out but still maintain the shape of your brush otherwise you can disshape it which can affect its performance. hold the brush in your opposite leading hand and with your leading hand, place your fore finger and thumb around the brush hairs. press tightly but gently and as you squeeze it, push the water downwards. if the brush is normally fluffy, rub lightly the hairs a bit to sort of ruffle them up. Afterwards, place them on a towel and let them air dry over night. Then, they'll be fine! |
