i've always done gymnastics since i was 5 years old. (i'm 13 now). i do competition and i've devoted my monday, wednesday, thursday, and friday nights and saturday mornings to the sport. i've always been able to work around my schedule but now that i'm in middle school and i'm a teenager, i kind of want more time for homework, and to hang out with friends, and party, and go out on weekends. i still love gymnastics but it just doesn't seem like i'm getting anywhere. i'm also afraid about gaining weight. going from all that practice to maybe only working out once or twice a week is going to be horrible. i need some advice on what i should do.

if i only do 2 days a week....then i won't be able to do competition (which i kind of want to quit). but there's no point in doing the sport if i don't do comepetition. i'd lose all of my muscle and everything and would never move up. i rarely enjoy it.
or maybe i do enjoy it but i always miss out on all the fun because i'm too busy complaining about how much i hate it. it's hard to explain. i guess i'm just "burned out" |
