i know that there may be other factors, other motivators, but i just want to know, out of these choices, which one keeps you working the most? why do you study, why do you do homework, why do you pursue academics? by the way, if you, in fact, do not feel an obligation toward education, please do not vote or post in this thread.

I chose expectation: i just can't let my parents, teachers, and society down. I guess since my parents have pushed me to do my best, it's made me want to work harder for their pride in me.
Money, reputation, and esteem are also in there but expectation is the most important. My boyfriend even pushes me to work as hard as I can. Some of my teachers know that I can do my best if I put my heart and soul into it... I hate letting them down. :/ |
