I've been in both
First from k-5 was public... it was cool
Then I went to 6th in public but I was taken out and put in private/catholic
till 7.. and that was cool < all of that was in NY
Then i went to 8 and 9th in public here in Tennesse and its been mad cool
But the sucky part is that it i would have been in 8th in the private one it would have been cooler
So they are both alright... just depends on how you customize to both... and if you make friends fast...

PS... alot of my friends think private high school is gay... and i think its is too

I like public better, because they don't have to wear uniforms. but, unfortunately, some public schools have uniforms anyway. I have more experince with private school then public. 1-5 grade was private school, and 6th grade and 7th (the one I was in now) grade in public.

I heart public. throb.gif

I goto a public school..My mother did try to make me goto a private school, but the school I'm at now has better marks then the private schools around here. Plus, the private schools have the whole Christian/Catholic religion thing going on there, and I'm neither of those religions so they wouldn't much appareciate it if I argued with them against difference in opinion...:)

The quality is as equally good as those of private schools IMO, but private schools cost money. Public schools can deliver as much education to the students as much as private schools can. So there. stubborn.gif

Public schools. Just as good as any private school and you don't have to pay as much. (Don't forget taxes for public schools.) Besides, at public schools the people are not as snobby. (Around here people in public schools are way stuck-up and snotty.)

The only private schools around here are catholic and christian schools.
They're also an hour away.
I'm not christian, and I don't have a way to get there even if I was.

I'm homeschooled =] I was in public schools from k - 2weeks into 5th. Being homeschooled is so much better than being in public here... Luckily, I also take some classes at a church, so I'm not totally isolated throb.gif
And I actually started homeschooling because of how bad the schools are..They really suck around the Lilburn/Norcross area. ermm.gif

They have international schools in the US, and they are considered private schools. I went to one k-5th grade. I went to a differnet private school through middle school (no uniforms and both sexes. Not a religious school either. It was great.), but now I'm going to a public school for high school which I so do not want to do.

Public school because you would get to know a wide variety of people. But the bad thing is that more bad students are found in public instead of private schools.

The good thing about private school is that it is more strict, which means it would keep you rather nerdy than hanging out. The bad thing is there are not much people you can meet.

FINAL DECISION: Public school

PS... alot of my friends think private high school is gay... and i think its is too

Do you think I'm gay? It's really not that bad. It's just waaaaay smaller, like 800 kids. At least we don't have uniforms...

I've Been to Both.

Annapolis Area Christian and Bowie High....I liked the public school better...The kids there treated me better I think. And plus you had a wider selection of courses to take. Everyone didn't have a stick up their butt all day. Private school made me cry. Seriously. Those people there were so mean.

I have been to public school my whole life, so public school.
I wouldn't really want to be in a private school, because from what I have heard it's just not good.
But I wouldn't know.

Public school, Ive never been to a private school before =P
Although, the IB program I am is supposedly one of three schools that offer it, free while others have to attend private schools for it..

I know there are exceptions, but if you actually try to learn in schoool, you get a lot out of public schools. I never plan on going to private school, but I know I will have learned a lot from being taught in a public school.

And also, I would never put my kids in private school =x

^Hahaha.

Anyways, I have been to Public and Charter (semi-private)

I liked Charter to an extent because I got to know everyone well but then again, I knew everyone and they knew me.

I liked Public because it gave more options and what not.
