post old poems you wrote a long time ago.
i wrote these in fourth grade. Bob, The Man Whose Hair was Made of Cheese Bob, oh Bob, His head of cheese, His hair it grew Down to his knees. But chunk by chunk, And piece by piece, Cheesy Bob’s hair Was eaten by bees. Now all that’s left Of poor Bob’s hair Is really nothing But thin air! By Julia Carleton Books When you open a book A new world comes to you, With dragons, castles, and witches, too. An imaginary life Forms in you dreams, And slowly the story unravels its schemes! By Julia Carleton Candle Candle burning in the night Your drops of gold they shine so bright. Flickering, crackling, blazing fire You create the most magnificent light. By Julia Carleton Poems I will never write a poem I just can’t seem to rhyme I mess up on the syllables And misspell every time I will never be a poet When I’m fully grown Wait—I just wrote this poem! I never would have known! By Julia Carleton School School A torcher chamber School A homework dispenser Poor Teachers They have to work in it Why do they? Is it good pay? School Never liked it, never will School Could there be any more work? Poor Teachers Hey need to grade mountains of it What’s the point of school? To realize how exciting the other things in life are? School Learning the same things year after year School Those teachers Don’t they think where they work is horrible? But then why are they working here? School It’ll haunt me forever Till I’m a graduate ….Then college! By Julia Carleton |
