Go to Sally's Beauty Supply, my mom got an ear piercing thing there when she pierced my step brother's ear.

Depends where you're planning on getting the piercing. If you want cartilage DO NOT do it yourself. I've pierced my own ears before, it doesn't hurt that much, make sure to sterilize the needle you're using by burning the end and wiping it with alcohol (not the kind you drink), and clean off the earring you're going to use with some alcohol too. If you're afraid of the pain, you can numb it a bit by icing it ahead of time, and taking a tylenol, but icing it can make it harder to pierce. Don't take advil tho, cuz it's supposed to make you bleed more because it's a blood thinner

since you're going to do it anyway, why don't you get it professionally done? i didn't even ask my mom when i got mine done, but she didn't care, i was 15. it was right before my 16th birthday.

i knew this guy who pierced himself...but they were only temporary, he'd take it out and put it somewhere else... ermm.gif but other than that i thought he was adorable.

you should probably be careful...because if you really go through with this you could get addicted to piercing yourself since you can do it yourself it'll be so easy.

i think you should wash it with alcohol or antiseptic everyday or something, that's what the piercing lady told me but i didn't listen...mine didn't get infected but i'd advise you to clean it everyday... oh and you need to spin the earring around in your ear so your skin doesn't have a chance to grow/heal onto the earring.

i should probably tell you not to do it. haha. i peirced my own cartilidge. its pretty cool cause ylou dont even feel the needle going into your ear. just make sure that you use ice t numb it up really well. like..REALLY well and then get a sterilized needle and just go for it. but..if you're not careful and dont clean out your ears wit hthat soultion daily, they could get infected. go to claires and get the slution. its 3 soemthing dollars.

tons of ice TONS yeah this dude pierced his eyebrow and it got all infected and shit and swelled up huge so yeah use ice and make sure everythings clean and you dont take the earring out for a least 1-2 weeks til the hole fills cuz then it'll jus grow back in and you'd have to do it again

I pierced my own ears. And, I'm only 12. I did the second and third holes by myself, but I had the piercing gun since my dad used to own a jewelry store. Make sure you sterilize your ears, use alchohol, make a mark so that it'll come out even, and.. just becareful. I think it'll be more painful if you do it by hand, though. Try buying an ear gun perhaps?

You need to sterilize the needle by boiling it in hot water.Make a mark on your ear so that you know where you want the needle to go. Make sure the holes are even on both ears. Hold a potatoe on the back of your ear while doing it so that the needle has somewhere to go. As soon as you stick the needle in your ear pull it out & get your stud earing and put it through. Use ice to numb it and keep the stud in for at least 2 weeks and clean it everyday with rubbing alcohol during those two weeks. My dad told me how he pierced his ex-wife's ears. So..I hope it was helpful happy.gif

eeek! don't do it! put the needle down! i would never pierce my own ears. you run the risk of infection, bleeding, and i dunno, just crap! don't do it. i'm sure when you're older your mum will let ya get them pierced again, just simmer down and chill.

Why not get an older friend or family friend or someone you know to sign the permission form to get you pierced? My mum and her friends pierced themselves, but I still prefer being professionally pierced. Since you're determined to pierce yourself google it up. That's what I did, I read a lot of articles and I have all this knowledge about body modification. What I don't get is if the needle you pierce yourself with large enough to make a hole that can fit an earring?

I like ear guns, it automatically pops in the earring so I don't have to take out the needle and then insert the earring.

If you get it done at a piercing parlor or something that doesn't require a parent or guardian's consent you are putting yourself at risk for HIV and other diseases transmitted by bodily fluids. And it's against the law, but that doesn't stop kids from doing so anyways.

The cheapest place that comes to mind is Claries. Just make sure that everything is clean and sterile.

I don't know any legal places in Canada that'll do it for you without a parent if you're under 16. The most important thing here is sterilization....just do it

Piercing your own ear will give you a higher chance of infection. Don't use some makeshift piece of crap like a needle or a safety pin or something. I'd suggest waiting until your parents let you. They'll find out sooner or later and make you close it up. I know someone who had to do remove all their piercings because they got them without permission (tongue, ears twice, lip).

ya i think you should just get it done at someplace safe rather then doing it alone, i mean wouldnt they still find out later? Just reason a bit with your parents and with hope they would get you there. I think in Parent Trap the movie they pierced their ears using a heated tip of a needle and a lemon at the back to cool the ear. haha but i dont advise doing that.. or as my uncle use to say use a fork [/sarcasm] please.. dont use a fork. wink.gif

I think you can have anyone of the age 18 to sign the paper.
I wouldn't do it myself.

id probably freak out trying to do it myself.
but its your choice. if you have the stuff for it...then be careful and go for it
if not, choose somewhere quick, and cheap
*i dont reccommend claires* (the ones that i have been to don't give it any thought)

you can't get your ears peirced withought a parent or gardian signing the form untill your over 16 i think, unless you look like your over 18 and yu go to a place that doesn't card or ask for your age, thats what i did and for my facial peircings, but my ears i percied myself... but my advice is to have someone else do it for you wether its a friend or a professional, that way itll be quicker cause when you do it yourself you'll go slower cause of the pain.

all you need is a needle and an earring.
shove the needle thru. lave it for about 30 seconds. and pul it thru and then shove the earring in.

ive done it at least 10 times

Well the only time I saw someone pierce their own ears was on "Parent Trap" I think they used ice, an apple, and a needle. And hold the ice under your ear so its numb. Then you switch it with the apple and stick the needle in.
