I've been trying the image mapping codes I've found on the various repetitive threads in here but they all only seem to work in regard to getting a header image with mapping..
How would I go about applying this code... to alter the background so that the text in the background [here] is mapped accordingly? Sorry if I'm wasting anyones time by posting this. You think I'd learn.. Lab-Rat springs to mind |

Images set as the background cannot be used as an image map.
The best you can do is make a DIV that covers your entire page, place it on the back (but technically above the background), and put your image in that DIV; then apply an image map to that image. |

Thus the problem arises...
I've never worked with div layers before and the tutorial I used just caused me to misalign everything in my layout.. |

Well, you could also make a background, and then make another image of just the links you want, and place that over the background; then use that image as the image map.

Where do I position it in the code to get it loading on the top left (where the text is now) once I've done that? no matter where I've tried positioning it in my stylesheet it either doesn't appear or appears as a header image..
Sorry for being a pain in the ass |

It's okay, mipada, you do realize that certain ... coding is a bit different when it comes to livejournal, and that certain coding is needed for it to work properly...
I'll try to get back with you, I'm on the one right now. |

I don't see how that made sense :X I meant to say "I'm on the run..." but that obviously wasn't typed out!
I'll try to get to it sometime today, but I've got a bit of a busy schedule. |
