I was wondering, that if in your 9th grade graduation (I go to a Junior High), you should wear a dress or a pair of cute jeans and and cute top??? I know, the end of the school year is still a long way off but what do you people think? Should i wear a dress or jeans and a pretty shirt or a cute skirt or what? I wanna know, so that i will have all year to find the perfect outfit, not the first thing i see on a store rank that is on sale...

How about... semi-formal? Pretty skirt / pretty top / nice heels, nothing over-the-top? ^_^

go for dressy. like a cute mini (NOTHING MICRO!) and a flowy, cami top. try semi-formal. don't wear jeans or just a tee, it won't be appropriate for a graduation cerimony. wear heals or cute dressy flip flops. but deffinatly go for dressy. even though you'll have your gown on for the ceremony, still get all dressed up. think dressy-casual, and not sit-around-the-house-casual.

Yeah. A nice skirt and top would do. That's what I did. We weren't allowed to wear jeans.

Mishyerr Is that you in the avatar?

Where I live, there isn't Junior high, so we graduate in gr 8, and that's a pretty formal event. Since yours doesn't seem like the same thing, I would go with something semi-formal. Like a nice top (not a tank top or t-shirt....u kno...a *nice* shirt) and either dress pants or a skirt. No jeans or mini skirts. Oh yea, and a dress would be fine too. It's almost always better to be over dressed than underdressed.

My schools exactly like yours. I'm gunna graduate in 8th grade though. (And back to the topic...)
Go for a semi dressy look. A nice shirt, cute skirt, dressy shoes. Maybe a bow in your hair? Okay, a little over-board. A simple dress would look good too.

I had graduation in 8th grade, so mine was probly different... mine was really formal, so we all wore fancy dresses and stuff, but you should probably ask someone else from your school 'cause all schools are different. I'd suggest semi-formal like the other people said... but I don't know what your school's like, so it's hard to say...

my graduation was for 8th grade and a lot of people wore dresses, but i found that too formal. i wore a nice top, skirt, and my mom's heels happy.gif

it really depends on your school though, 'cause my friends from another school thought we were weird and just wore jeans.. blink.gif

My graduation for 8th grade was ... in June.

Most the girls wore skirts and stuff (but some of them worse jeans or something) and the guys put on a nice polo or dress shirt or something. There were these guys who got a whole suit and everything.

As for me, my friends wanted me to wear a skirt and whatnot (and it's a big deal cause i'm not a skirt person and i don't wear makeup and blahdy blah) and so I did and I got a lot of compliments.

So just ask what other girls are wearing and if most of them say that they're gonna wear a skirt, then you could do that. but if you don't like/want to, then don't. it'll be fine.

I'd wear a dressy shirt, and nice pants. I'm not much or a dress/skirt girl.

no pants/jeans!!!

it's your graduation not a regular school day.

wear a skirt that at least knee length or a dress that's knee length.

don't go overboard with the make up, just lip gloss and a little eye make up is fine, no one is going to check out your nails and your hair shouldn't be a big deal, it's only 9th grade.

It would make most sense to ask the other people going what they are going to be wearing. Then you would match them, instead of being way more dressy, or way more casual.
