yeah i saw it well part of it i had fun tonite i went to dukes at 7:00 then skipped to bad news bears cuz there were no seats then went to devil's rejects then to fantastic 4 then back to dukes at 9:15 so i saw like 4 movies for the price of one but anyways back to your question yeah its a great movie especially wit jessica simpson in it

^burns? i find her to be pretty, but not the hottest celebrity but i think shes bit above average. anyways i usually don't go see movies that have bad ratings but i wanted to see this movie anyway because johnny knoxville was in it. i liked the movie, it wasn't all about comedy what not if thats what you were expecting. i usually dislike any type of hillbilly, movies with southern accents too but i enjoyed this movie.

Stupid Jessica Simpson. She said it brought out her southern roots. Well I'll be damned. She grew up just an hours drive from where I am. Being from the south is really overrated

But my dad said that he wont take me. They ruined it. He said the originals were great and this one is just oversexed.

I had a free movie ticket and I didn't want it to go to waste so I read all the reviews before I went to watch any movie at the theaters... it got such a bad rating (on two sites, actually. Which I couldn't believe) that I just went and watched Sky High.

I watched it with my boyfriend yesterday...we werent really planning to see it because people gave it bad reviews, but then we watched it anywayz. It wasnt the best but it was very funny. My boyfriend liked it too...i think it was because Jessica Simpson was in it...LOL

1.) If don't like anything about the original Dukes of Hazzard, you're not gonna be able to appreciate this movie.

2.) If you've never seen the original Dukes of Hazzard, it's okay. It just means you were either deprived or you're too young. Even though it plays on CMT mon-fri at 4pm and 11pm Eastern time. No, that was not a shamless plug of the show, I could care less whether or not you watch it. *lol*

3.) If you are a die hard fan of the Dukes of Hazzard and are expecting this movie to be a clone of the series, also not gonna happen.

Basically, if you can't look at a 1969 charger and say it's a hot car, you're probably not gonna like this movie.

Now, for my opinion of the movie.

I loved it. It's not just like the original series, and that's good. The original series was filmed in the late 70's into the early 80's 78-84 oe something like that. There's no cursing at all, except maybe the word "hell" which really doesn't qualify in my book. There's a generally message of family togetherness and these cousins that are always getting into trouble and usually while trying to do the righ thiing. They were trouble makers. But it was all harmless fun.

This new movie, is a 2005 version of Dukes of Hazzard. It's basically what a couple of "good ol' boys" now are. Back then it was out running cops and flirting with girls. Now it's outrunning cops and sleeping with girls and..wait, that's about it. They language is updated, the attitudes are updated. Of course, the car is still a 1969 Dodge charger with a Hemi and bright orange paint, with the dixie flag on top and General Lee written on either side above the door. As one person described it "The holy grail of cars" Not just chargers in general, but the General Lee.

Anyway. Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott are perfect for their roles as Luke and Bo Duke. I think they're both naturally troublemakers.
Jessica Simpson, I cringed when I first heard she would be filling the shorts of Daisy Duke, and that she wouldn't be dying her hair to match that of Catherine Bach's. But I later found out that the originally wrote the role of Daisy Duke as that of a blonde. And also, Jessica Simpson is an incredible actor. She did just fine as Daisy. And for those of you who are unaware, Daisy was not a brainless twit. So throw that Jessica Simpson joke out the window please.

I'll admit the acting may not be the best in the world, but have you seen the original? Some of the acting gets pretty choppy in here.

Basically, I loved it. It's just a good movie. Not great, not award-winning. But it's worth a watch. If for nothing else, do it for the car.

And if you really want to be nice...buy a 1969 charger and make it into the general lee, then give it to me....for free! ;)

Yeah... I saw the movie with a friend last Friday! It was soO HILARIOUS. Johnny Knoxville looked HOTT in those tight jeans and Jessica Simpson was just smokin'! Ya'll probably don't appreciate the movie very much most likely because you're not southern. It's the #1 movie in the box office right now!

Meh, I got two different opinions. My brother told me it wasn't that great and there was like only a few funny lines. But my friend told me tonight when we went to the theaters that it was ok and had some awesome scences. All I am saying was that I am glad I went and saw Red Eye (I thought it was awesome btw) tonight instead of anything else even Dukes of Hazzards.

it's more of a guy movie methinks, with the whole general lee car, jessica simpson, and big things going boom thanks to flaming arrows, C4's, and molotov cocktails.
