I know alot of us have to use a straightener so I decided to make a thread to recommend some products. Many people just like to dry their hair and take that straightener right to their hair without any hair products to PROTECT IT which is why most of the time you're hair gets tired and looks fried from straightening it so much.
First off I recommend a cermaic hair straightener (Hot tools professional & revlon are pretty good.) PRODUCTS PANTENE PRO-V - Daily renewal treatment - Daily moisture renewal AUSSIE - Miracle moist conditioner - Miracle moist shampoo MATRIX SLEEK.LOOK - Iron smoother (offers a unique mix of styling polymers to help protect hair from heated appliances, plus silicone for shine and panthenol to strengthen and condition) BIOSILK - Silk therapy PAUL BROWN HAWAII - Stay Straight (Anti Frizz Smoothing Balm) NOT Anti-Frizz Styling & Molding Creme That's all I have for now. I have tried all of these so I gurantee you that they work. What do you guys use? |

I like the Loreal Vive smooth-intense anti-frizz serum.
The one in the orange bottle... But if I had the money, I would buy Matrix sleek look products. |

This isn't necessarily for "straightening" but for smoothing/sleekness.

I noticed my hair was starting to get a little dry looking.. so I started using the biosilk and matrix's sleek look line. Which I see you have up there, and I'll second them

anything paul mitchell or john frieda. i luv either gloss drops, or super skinny serums from mitchell, or frizz ease serum. any serum usually works on protecting your hair, use only a lil, and try to use when your hair's wet, so its not overly glossy and ur hair looks like a grease ball. i dunno what companies do this, but i know of some that have sprays just for heat styling protection. visit your nearest beauty supply store and ask one of the employees for help.

Or, uh, Tresemme works really good (I heard) AND it's super super super cheap and affordable <3. I use Garnier Fructis. ^_^
Plus, girls, it's damaging to wash your hair once a day. Do it every other day and just bathe. Seriously. (Even though I HAVE to wash my hair once a day) but if you're not in any sports that make you sweat, etc... than just shower every other day b/c your hair gets healthier that way. UNLESS you have uber oily hair. ^_^ |

umm if you guys are blonde i use this sheer blonde like anti-frizz stuff, or smoothing serum or something. anyways it's AMAZING and even though it doesn't straigten, i'm naturally curly, so it makes my curls much less frizzy, which means they're less frizzy once i straighten!! yaayyyyyyyy!!!
