Did you check the tutorials forum for blending tutorials? There are like a million...haha. If the original picture had a white background, then you'd just erase away the background with a soft airbrush eraser until you got that soft glow effect. Or you could add it with outer glow once you erased away enough of the background. Basically to blend, use a soft airbrush eraser.

actually it doesn't need to be a white bg, it can be any color, by the looks of it, i think she outrglowed a cut so that it'll be surrounded by the white thing. i recently made a tutorial for cutting, but i'm not sure on how to post it, anyone have a clue?

ok if u are planning to blend pictures together then here is the informations

Using Adobe Photoshop 7.0

1. Open one of the images you want to use and past it one a new psd document.

2. Open the other image u want to use and paste it above the first image.

3. Ok, so now you're going to add a vector mask to the second layer. [Layers>> Add Vector Mask>> Reveal All]

4. Select the vector mask in the Layers Dialog Box.

5. Select the gradient tool then apply it in the pictures where you want it to be transparent. [If you don't like it, you can just always press Ctrl+Alt+Z to undo then repeat the step until you like it.]

6. Making it the very last touch, you can use to the eraser tool to erase the part of the picture on each layer that you dont want. [Especially the edges.] To make it look like a well-blended image. [I recommended soft, airbrush eraser, not the hard kind.]

Well I hope this help, if it dont then there's always another better helper out there right? If this is not the right answer for your question then I'm sorry, let just say this is a new lesson for people who doesn't know much about this. =DD
