I don't like getting teeth pulled out. Cause of all the bleeding and the swelling. Has anyone had their wisdom teeth pulled out yet? Do they knock you out? Numb you?

I had all four of mine out when I was 18. I was knocked out (which isn't the safest method).

Actually, I don't know. I've only heard rumors that numbing is better and there maybe side effects to being knocked out by gas...

i may be the first cB with lots of teeth pull out in my past. Dont get too nervous about it even it's blood. Be brave about it. It will not kill you at all. Trust me, i gone through all those pain. I have a major teeth pull out also. i have 3 extra teeth hiding under my gum Luckly, i pull the 3 teeth that was in the extra teeth's way. They got rid of my roots also. Good luck. You'll feel so much go dam better after you're done with the paper package out of your mouth for at least 2 hours. Then, treat yourself with creamy mints ice cream with strawberry syrup on top. Topped with chocolate sprinkle and strawberry. Thats what i did. I love those good shit. edit. Before the process of teeth pull out, they gave you a pain-relieving pills so you dont feel much pain of your teeth when it pulls out. They would numb your gum and lip also. Dont worry so much. Just close your eyes and think positive. Thats what i did. ![]() That's all from my experiences. nm, dont trust me or believe me. i was confused because you say "wisdom" teeth. Anyways, my brother did have his wisdom teeth pullout (long time ago). He ate alot of jello. dammit, i couldnt have some. |

It was horrible. They hooked me up with all these monitors to see you're heart rate and breathing and they hooked me up with an IV. They numbed me but I was still awake. Then when I went home I passed out on the sofa for over 3 hours.

My face is still swollen and yesterday I had to take like more than 10 pills. I've been eating rice in soup and mashed potatoes in gravy from KFC. I've kinda been slurping them into my mouth. And to top it off...my parents keep taking pictures of my swollen face! They say I remind them of the guy from Nutty Professor. WHICH I M SO NOT!

I apologize for 'sounding snappy', but that's it.
That is how I write to people who make assumptions when they never finished reading the thread and I'm sorry if I've hurt your feelings. I mean, the words 'past the gums' and 'erupt' are there so there's no reason why you had to say what you said, which is obviously already understood to those who thoroughly followed the thread. So, that's why I told you to read the thread. Saying "don't hate me" wasn't necessary either. I don't hate people for so simple a thing, but I do get annoyed. |

No reason why I had to say what I said?! Did even you read MY post at all? Obviously you don't even care to think of other people's perspectives. You only see it YOUR way. FYI, people don't see everything in the same way, and I'm sorry if I didn't see it your way. I didn't "assume" anything out of the BLUE, otherwise I'd be pretty darn stupid.
'when they never finished reading the thread'. SEE? Now YOU'RE making assumptions. Before I reply to ANY threads like these, I read through ALL of the pages till the very last post and THEN I reply. I swear. I'm in enough pain already. Why I bother to even look back at this thread to deal with someone that's arguing about something I don't even know why he/she has to get so snappy and defensive about is beyond my understanding. You get annoyed over things not even worth getting annoyed over. Don't bother to reply to me, I won't even come back to this thread. Kthnx, I'm going to change my bloody gauze now. |

^Haha, I was wondering why this was bumped. I read this post a week before mine were pulled out. It's not bad, really.. I was completely unaware of what had happened when I woke up, I think it's funny. I felt no pain, but the numbed skin, bleeding, dizzyness and drooling right after is no fun. After a few days you can eat and then after about a week you can open your mouth and wash the back of your mouth with toothpaste.
I got mine taken out on the 3rd, but I won't be able to use listerine for a month. That blows ![]() Again, ![]() Uhm. And if you're like me, the drugs won't make your stomach feel any good. If you can't eat nothing but baby food and apple sauce and take your medication, it hurts. That was the worst part. |

i've actually never had any of my teeth get pulled out. all of my friends who have say it's really not that bad, it'sd just a little hard getting used to missing teeth.
