Japanese fashion is CRAZY, but so cool. No, we don't have that brand in the US.

That man in the last picture? So hot.
So, yeah, this is some pretty cool stuff. A little out there (at least, to me. I'm a fashion!virgin) but none the less so amazingly awesome.

It's not a brand, it's a style. It's called Lolita after the book/movie about the affair between an adolescent girl and a grown man. Quite disturbing.

I've seen people in Hong Kong wear it. Truth is, I don't really see the appeal behind it even though I understand the whole Goth style.

They're cute~ Its happening in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan at the moment~ I would'nt mind dressing up like that just for the fun~

But whats so ironic is that when some were interviewed on the streets or sumthin they're like "yea, we wear it because its us. we don't wear because we want to attract attention." I was like =__="....that sounded just like a whole loada crap.

I've always had a certain attraction towards the Gothic Lolita look. It's just so darn expensive, though. Que triste...cry.gif

Japan fashion is crazy yet awesome. The third one is adorable. If I ever dressed like that I would probably be laughed at mellow.gif. I don't think I have ever seen everyone dressed like the ones in those pictures. Except I have seen some Gothic Lolita outfits, here & there. Ganguro is also pretty cool, the platinum blonde hair _smile.gif.

I think they're trying to imitate Nabokov's character Lolita. Looking innocent but not really inside, in the book, Lolita, a 12 year old girl, fell in love with a man a hell lot older than her...or maybe i'm wrong but it looks like it.

actually, new york city is like the fashion capital of the world or one of them. you should look a bit harder. i see interesting fashion choices...well not now because it's cold but when the weather is warmer you'll see it.

really? i only read like the first few pages but the guy i know who read it (and owned the copy i was looking at) told me that it was about me and him at first but then corrected himself by saying, "actually not really, it's about a man who falls in love with a girl who was too young." i remember because it upset me, did he mean that i'm not too young anymore or will he never fall in love with me? cry.gif

i think that lolita stuff is great for a costume party or halloween...but not average, every day wear...or weekly wear...

My one of my best girl friends dresses and walks around in Japanese fashion. I like being around her because she's open-minded and interesting.
