Okay the place I live is a medium sized town, 73,000 people. Well, the guys honk at girls they think are hott haha, but this is while they are speeding down the road behind you, this usually happens on London road, and there isn't a boulevard beside the sidewalk, so you jump like sky-high haha. And tehn sometimes they get a bit daring and scream at you, things like uhmm "wanna ride" and things I have chosen to forget because they are so cleverly dirty, btu we all discuss this, and from what we know, this doesn't happen everywhere else, it's just a creepy small town thing....do you girls get honked at a lot while you are walking places? Like last time I walked somewhere with my friends we counted, it was a half hour walk there and the same back so an hour....we got 17 honks and 4 screams.....seriously out of hand...DOES THIS HAPPEN TO YOU? and yes they do it at night too....

Well I like in Brooklyn, New York but I go to school in New York City and spend a lot of time there and yes it happens all the time around New York. One time this guy said "wow" and then stopped his car. At that moment I started running, that scared the crap outta me. It was at like 8:00 in the morning a block from my house when I was going grocery shopping =/. No where is safe, unless you live in a completly unpopulated region.

OMG I know what you mean. Here in ky, not many people walk. But me and my friend did.. we counted but i don't remember how many we got. It's stupid.

In california when me and my friends walk, it's out of hand. Although being the stupid people we are, we've actually accepted a few rides offered to us.

Oh, in California this happens ALL THE time. It's pretty stupid and ungentleman like. I don't know why guys do this to me and my friends or any girls... doesn't make me any more attracted to them, more like less.

yeah it happens to me, i guess dumb ignorant unrespectful guys do that..which i really do hate--like since i dont have my license yet i have to walk or catch a ride home w. a friend. but when im walking w. my sister or best friend..we get whistled, screamed at ..and i dont get it b/c we dont wear anything thats revealing like open shirts that shows boobs or bras, no skirts, no shorts, or anything like that. its like wtf you know? but its probably b/c they are so damn ignorant of theyre manly-ness they have to do that especially guys who do that w. their friends-which is a big turn off*- but its been mostly guys that are hispanic , middle-aged, construction/lawn mower ppl...yuck--no offense to hispanics b/c i have friends who are hispanic, i just dont like those disrepectful ones :(

I live in Dallas. Or well, a suburb of Dallas, but I have a couple friends who live in the urban area. A few times when I've slept over at my friends' houses, we'd walk to target or whataburger, and usually get honks from older guys.

So I guess it happens everywhere, cept maybe there's a slight difference in how far the people in the cars go.

yeah it happens all the time in my small town. this one time my friend and i were just walking to dairy queen and this car pulled up at an intersection and i knew that they didn't live around here because no one dressed like they did {baggy shirts, baggy pants, like rappers or something =)} and they all looked out the window when my friend and i were slowly approaching and they honked and turned into a grocery store and we quickly ran across the street down an alley. it was creepy!
and then we were at the mall and we were walking across the street to a walgreens and we got honked at by these guys in a jeep and once again when we were heading back towards the mall by these guys in a different jeep. totally freaky!
and what's worse is that my friend and i either get honked at, stared at, or whistled at. eww! -shivers-

yeah, my friends and I can't walk down the street without creepy guys honking or screaming at us... and it's not like we're that pretty or whatever... it annoys the hell out of me.

and it's not just a small town thing... my city has a population 1,000,000 I think... but that may seem small to some people

for instance a few days ago, I was at my friends house with 2 other girls and we were hanging out with this guy and walking around the neighborhood and some nasty guys honked and yelled stuff at us. We flicked them off and shouted "you dirty bastards" at them... then we said to the guy who was walking with us "I can't believe that they honked at you like that..." it was so funny.

your um, average, perved truck/van driver with badly dyed hair and no top on will do that if you're not bad looking. they scream something at you in chinese [though barely understandabledue to a cigarette loosely clamped in their mouth].

or, they bounce up and down in their seats...as though suggesting...nvm. mmph.

Not in Cherry Hill, the town is really too big to walk around. But, my hometown is a small town in north Jersey && I go there about every month, tomorrow actually. =] && my cousin && I were actually just standing on the corner of her street to wait for our friend && 2-3 cars passed us, they all honked && 1 yelled at us. Some were old farts, it was disgusting.

Yeah, that happens alittle bit to me. But not as much really. Cuz i don't go out much. But sometimes yea. I get honks. And an sometimes some slow down right next to me. Some are really sick. But usually I only get hit on my the guys at my dad's gas station where i work at. It's really gross, cuz I'm only 13. And those guys are like 20-21. And there's sometimes an occasional guy who says, " Hey. Are you married?" Or calls me, "sweetheart." "angel" or crap like that. It's sick really. ...I'm from Texas by the way.

I live in Easton PA a lot of people do that.
Especially downtown.
Older people too.
I'm 15, and sometimes the guys that honk are like 25-30 years old.
Its odd and I dont like it.
Sometimes they yell stuff out the windows too.

yeah that's happened to me and my friends quite a few times. especially when we're walking around town and there are a lot of cars stopped at traffic lights. we usually just laugh and try to walk a bit faster.

ehh...one time we were at the food court in the mall and this 20 something year old guy (we were 14 at the time) came up to us and said "my friend over there wants to know if you'll give him hed". err yeah that was pretty disgusting and we said "uh no." and ate as fast as we could. haha

No where is safe, unless you live in a completly unpopulated region.

this never happened to me... i liv in alaska n that might explain a whole lot since here... it is so damn empty pinch.gif
