I think it's a both for most people...

Me, I buy clothes that are attractive to me. If they don't have pins and needles sticking out of the collar, it's comfortable to me.

If it is really uncomfortable, I'll most likely not wear it much...or just not buy it at all.

I dress for comfort in a way that the clothes i'm wearing isn't THAT outdated....... i don't go for expensive branded clothing but just clothing that is casual enough to still be in fashion~

ALWAYS BOTH. I've tried on quite a few REALLY cute clothes and oftentimes, they itch or the fabric doesn't feel nice.

I do wear designer clothes and I admit that I DO dress to impress, but all my clothes are comfortable. In fact, you could say that at one point, I have slept, wearing each one of my outfits, and I was still comfortable. Most of the time I'm at my boyfriend's house or my friends' houses, and I tend to take naps there in whatever I'm wearing.

Then again, I am a jeans-girl and I usually wear comfy long-sleeves or t-shirts--none of that flashy, trendy stuff.
