you should save the second as a .gif to get rid of the bg

I like it. Personally i think the colorhalftone stuff is a bit overrated and overused but still it looks great.

You save it as a .gif and check 'keep transparency' it's something like that

^ Yeah, there should be a box to put a check in before you close it that says "Save Transparency." Look around in that box before you click Save.

When I saw 'banner' I was expecting those nasty swirls and a love quote but I was pleasantly surprised of blends of beautiful pictures and well placed brushes. No suggestions, I think they're beautiful. :)

My favorite is the first one =)
I love the effects on the text, and the pictures are well placed. I sort of wish the filmstrip on the first one was not "bent", and then rotated just a little, but I still like it. Great job =]

I like the first one. It's really pretty! The only thing is I can barely read the words that say "Mariah Carey". Maybe add a 1px stroke to the text so we can see it more clearly? Otherwise, it's still gorgeous.

Great choices of pictures for the second one. Great blending job! Although I agree with sprinkle-the-stars that the halftone border is overrated. The fonts don't really match each other as well. But I like the blend overall. happy.gif
