HOCKEY IS BAAAAAACK!
http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?slug=ap-n...ov=ap&type=lgns i'm so excited.. i've missed it so much! the whole lockdown was pretty dumb if you ask me.. but whatever. at least its back now! i hear they're making some changes too, imo for the better.. like a few i heard.. - no more ties. they'll do a 5 min. OT if its a tie after regulation and then a shootout after OT if its still tied - something about the red line? anyone know about this? - something with offsides and / or iceing rules.. not sure about this one either. anyone know? hehe and one more thing.. gotta show my team spirit.. LET`S GO FLYERS! who's everyone else's fave nhl team? |

I understand that you, as an Avs fan especially, will never support what Bertuzzi did (I don't and never will either)... but I encourage you to see that [with the signing of Brad May], what Bertuzzi did was entirely within the culture of the game. It all just went so wrong.
It was a split second of bad judgement followed by the worst possible result. He needs to be reinstated. Moore is on the verge of being cleared to play (what team will want him, though, I do not know). Enough is enough... both teams have to put it behind us. I greatly applaude your team for picking up May and fully showing that they understand why it happened, and also that they know these guys are not the monsters media was trying to portray them. I know you guys will enjoy having May on your team. He's a character guy; he's got an awesome attitude and gives 110% every game. He'll stick up for your players now. The Avs are privileged to have him. |

Moore might never play again because of Bertuzzi's vicious blow in Vancouver on March 8, 2004. The NHL waited over a year to hold Bertuzzi's hearing because of the lockout. Bettman waited nearly four more months to announce his decision to let him onto the ice. Bertuzzi was suspended indefinitely following the hit. Moore was left with a broken neck, a concussion and no guarantee that he'd still be a professional hockey player. With the Avalanche ahead 8-2 in the game, Bertuzzi grabbed Moore from behind, punched him on the side of his head and then landed on top of Moore, driving his head into the ice. The bloodied Colorado player was removed on a stretcher. The attack was seen as retaliation for a hit Moore put on Vancouver star Markus Naslund that left the Canucks captain with a concussion and sidelined him for three games. "Mr. Bertuzzi's actions were deserving of an appropriately harsh sanction," Bettman said. "There is no question that Mr. Bertuzzi's actions clearly went well beyond what could ever be considered acceptable behavior in the National Hockey League. Mr. Bertuzzi must be held responsible for the results of his actions, and the message must be delivered loudly and forcefully that the game will not tolerate this type of conduct." Bertuzzi first asked for his reinstatement hearing last December, around the time he pleaded guilty in a Vancouver court to criminal assault and was given a conditional discharge. Vancouver is doing well..except for the fact that I highly dislike Mr. Bertuzzi. For obvious reasons Lol about Brad May..he gets into fights almost every game! |

Yeah, I cannot wait until the Philadelphia game..it's gonna be so bizarre seeing Peter in another jersey..aw well! The Avs won again tonight :D You should definitely go to a hockey game in the future..I've only been to one, and that was a couple years ago before the lockout. We played Minnesota Wild and won =] |

Yeah, tell me about it. My mom bought tickets for my best friend and I and the total was $192. For only two tickets..but it will be worth it!

dont u watch sport news? to see the scores around the NHL? yah it was 3-1 for avs. then i was at the mall and some board said 4-3 win for AVS...then in my head i was like "heh, teesa would be glad" even though, svatos didn't get a goal. did he get assist on last goal though? canucks won 8-1. yay! bert hat trick |

Ohh, I didn't know you live in Canada..that is awesome :D Oh, of course! Here, we have ESPN which covers all the sports highlights and stuff. And of course there's always NHL.com where you can see highlights from almost every game.
Whoaaa, that game today was intense! Forsberg scored to force the game into OT and thank goodness for Alex Tanguay..again to score the winning goal:) It's okay if Svatos didn't score..I don't think he received an assist, but guess who did score? John-Michael Liles did!!! Haha.And good for Vancouver..although it means we're all tied with points and whatnot. |

lol they were playing the blues WORST TEAM IN LEAGUE and got shotout, jeeez...u dont follow the scoreboard..
today, EX AVS - ADAM FOOTE got into some spearing with NASLUND and BErtuzzI came and had words and at the end of the game FOOTE was bleeeding... and yeah nux lost again 6-5. ^Okay, Colorado lost to Chicago who freaking sucks as well, so you gotta give some credit to the teams that aren't that hot.
Foote was bleeding? Aw, poor thing. Eww..Bertuzzi had a goal. Wow, that must have been a good game though..high scoring! Tonight's game was fun Svatos had one, <3 Liles had one <3, Sakic had a couple, Tanguay, Laaksonen--shorthanded--, Clark..it was fun. And Aebischer and Sauve got into it at the end! It was funny..he skated all the way down the ice and all they did was a little pushing, but both were thrown out.

Wasn't it a really good game? I loved it! I thought Svatos only had 1 goal though
