Overall...your shapes are pretty good, but the shades are kinda weird...I mean, you have a lighter layer sticking out underneath from a dark one...so it looks like she's outlined by this light highlight. It's not very natural...

However, your shapes are good, just work on the shade placement! Try and follow the way the posterization's colours are placed, it should get easier. =]

I've tries what you guys said. It's about 50% complete. There is a new update for the picture. I'm trying to fix the choppyness of the skin, but this is one my fourth vexel and my first using shading, so bear with me.

well, nice job so far....your colors are kinda very different from each other...try picking colors that are closer to each other[just a suggestion]...anyways, also, try making you layers smoother and not always follow the posterization lines...nice job though. _smile.gif

It's pretty good so far. The shading on her left hand looks a little odd, and there's a little too much contrast between the layers. The face looks great though, and I can't wait to see the finished work.

i'm really trying with the colors so that they look will together, but I suck at making my own colors. Does anybody have any hints/tips to help me out, or do you guys have a place where I can get a template with good colors?

Hmm, I don't vector much, but you could just merge the skin layour, then go to the hue/saturation option, hit colorize and then play with the hue, saturation, lightness, brightness, and contrast. Hope that works _smile.gif, but I think a lot of the colors you chose are fine, there's just too much contrast.
