ok thanks..but also i have seen xangas where when the owner is on hiatus..u see an "on hiatus" page that wount allow u to clik..

You just remove everything on your xanga and replace it with an image.
That needs some CSS to do it.

Right in the code in place of where it says 'IMAGE URL'. Leave the apostrophe things there.

heres a code that might work for you
its the same as the intro splash screen but its been edited so that it doesn't allow you to click into the person's site
