Is there anything wrong in kissing your mom or dad in public ?? huh.gif

Just Last Night i had a grad party to attend to in my friends house ....and it just so "happens" i needed a ride to get there . but the only ride i can afford to go with is my mom , since shes working nightshift at the hospital ....once we got there ..i said goodbye as usuall ....and she told me to kiss her goodbye . It just so happens some of my Classmates were on the curb , just chilling maybe smoking , drinking whatever .... and i had to kiss her .....i came outside to find out all my classmates were makin fun & callen me "mama`s boy" as you expect they would . and i was like " yea yeaa , i know i am , thatss what you gotta do cool.gif " ...and started smirken head high to the doorway .

Sometimes i wonder why some people are ashamed to kiss there parents in public . I`ve always learned that its never wrong to show affection to your parents. and i guess that sometimes kissing them on the cheek is like a sign of respect . I dont really know , maybe because i live in an asian family . My mom always gets mad at me if i ever talk about it ....but i dont know if she likes getting attention out of it or respectful purposes . And somehow this small problem starts to get complicated ....lol ....

So i had to ask you guys in CB ....what do you guys think about this? , it ended up unanswered

don't think there is anything wrong with kissing your parents in public. Why would you be embarrassed to have parents you love and love you. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's cute to see my friends kiss their parents when they leave and such.

^ and i totally agree with you , i just dont get why Some people dont like it...and consider you as being "pampered" ...its like a sign of immaturity .

I don't kiss them on the cheek. I give them a quick hug if they're giving me a ride or something to a friend's house.

I don't kiss my mom/dad period. I've never even hugged them before. Not that I can remember, anyway.

no...im freakin 17 years old. why would i kiss my parents in public? i can understand 1-9 yr olds doing it, and maybe again when they are 40+ if their parents are still alive.

"Oooh, you're such a wuss. You love your parents and they love you back. Ooooh." o_O...

My family isn't the kissy type, more of the huggy type. But if other families are the kissy type, nothin wrong with it.

Haha, I think that's kinda sweet. My family's not as comfortable doing that. My mom and I don't kiss/hug. Yeah, she doesn't do that with my dad either.

It isn't a matter of shame. It just takes a level of maturity to be able to express love to someone without feeling awkward or embarrassed. That level of maturity I seem to not have for the time being...

usually it's th girls that do it more--so people don't usually care if you're a girl and kiss your parents.

but for guys--i guess it just depends on how you were raised and the degree of closeness you have between you and a parent.

i don't see anything wrong with that. it's just saying goodbye or expressing love towards a parent--so no big deal to me.

but lots of people think it's all funny and stuff. maybe cuz they never got the love they wanted as a kid? i dont know.

just. don't worry about it. it's you. not them.

theres nothing wrong with kissing, its just hugs are probably more preferred. i cant remember the last time i kissed my parents. a hug just seems more suitable.
