It's a summit going on in the UK right now. The G8 is stands for Group of 8 and is made up of the 8 richest nations in the world: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the UK, and the US. They meet to discuss things like economic development (especially in Third World countries), global warming, and economics in general. The summit is often opposed by those against globalization.

RIP to the 33 people that died..hopefully no more will be reported dead.

It's scary isn't it? They're attacking all of the modes of transportation.

1. It was planes during September 11th.
2. Now it's buses and subways..

What's next..ships? Cruise ships? Army ships?

Oh, I guess MSN is incorrect? I'll check CNN in a minute, but I rather the death toll be 33 than 40.

Edit>> 33 deaths on Thursday, but the number is now not determined because of the 4th blast.

Could you be anymore rude? I don't care if you're an advisor; you don't have to go around assuming you know every persons' intentions for writing a certain post. I was asking if he was okay physically and mentally, trying to be kind. How can you assume you know the answer to such a question? He said his father was alright, but he did not give a strong mention of his own safty, and I wanted to know because he is a nice person!

Sorry >< I just felt that was inappropriate and uncalled for even if you ARE an advisor. Don't hate me for saying that. That is my honest opinion!

Well, according to all the news I've been watching..The Al Qaeda organization at London posted on their website that they were responsible..and the REASON they did it is because they didn't like England killing their people in Afghanistan and Iraq.

It's not confirmed though..whether Al Qaeda is behind this. People are checking the credibility as we speak, but yeah. There was a reason why.

Those people are just digging a deeper whole.
Why can't we just forget our stupid "code of honor" thingy or whatever it's called and send a nuclear bomb over to Iraq. Goodness.

Oh. And hope everything's okay. I would've been scared like heck.

Uhm, what the hell are you talking about?
They didn't confirm that it's terrorists from the Middle East.... um, it's just a speculation.

Anyways, to be on that topic, I think the Iraqi gov. has all its rights to have Italy and the other countries kicked out. I don't even f**king understand why U.S. was there in the first place. Bullshit fakers.

Anyways, the first thing I thought of was you, James. Glad you're okay <3.

Notice how Bush was the first to jump in and actually start snooping.

Wonderful. The rest of the G8, even England's own prime tried to calm down the situation and Bush is ready to attack whatever.

your dad really dodged a bullet with this one. Thank god he''s okay though. I feel sorry for the families that are getting the bad news. It was mostly tourists on the double-deacker buses and metro.

It is not the middle-east that they are pinning it on. An Al Qaeda faction claimed responsibility.

Why does everyone leap on the fact that France lost the bid for the Olympics, but completely forget the fact that a)Britain is involved in the war in Iraq, and b) the G8 summit is going on in the UK right now? Given those two items, it seems completely ridiculous that some French group would orchestrate a four-pronged terrorist attack because they lost the bid for the Olympics.

What he said.. I keep hearing people accusing the French which I also find ridiculous. On the news they said "more than 37", I think its just that they've found 37 dead? Just guessing. Yeah, after the first attack they shut off cellular phone networks because they thought that would be another way to set off another bomb, and they think they've prevented a few from happening that way happy.gif

Sorry, but I don't have to know you "too well" to still think it was rude. *shrugs* I'm sorry if that offends you, but your comment offended me. And how was i using the fact that you were an advisor it against you? I was just stating that it SHOULDN't matter.

Blah this is rediculous. I can't fight over the internet--people who do that make me want to cry. So i'm just going to put this away for now. I still didn't like it _dry.gif but honestly? I really can't care anymore.

I find it amusing people are pointing fingers at the French. No offense, but come on. The French? Get real. Its got the signs of an al Qaeda attack and they're taking credit for it, but I think, at least Americans, are quick to blame al Qaeda. Thats a dangerous thing to do, considering it leaves the actual guilty party free to attack again.
