can we still be friends? Options

alright lets say that a friend you cared about (as a friend and nothing more)started liking you.Everyone else notices except me cuz im dense like that.
then he starts hanging around you alot. i mean alot. then you find out he likes you.
at this point you're getting pretty annoyed cuz he comes whenever u're tryin to have a conversation with someone else. u tell him u need some space. he says okay and for a while it's all good.then he starts ignoring u. can u still save the friendship or should u just let it go?

Best thing to do is to talk to him about it and tell him you don't want to be in a relationship with him but still be friends.

he's backing off and ignoring you because he thought that you got annoyed with him and don't want him around you anymore.

talk to him about it, tell him that it's alright to hang around each other once in a while not all the time. or maybe that you don't want to start anything with him just yet.

but you should def. save the friendship

tell him the truth. you dont like him but you would still want to be friends. maybe when you said to give you a little space you gave him the wrong idea.

No. It's hard. That's happened to me before and I was seriously uncomfortable and annoyed.

Well, that happened to me too; except I was the one ignoring my friend that liked me. And we didn't talk for about a year, until he finally initated some conversation. And now we're good friends again. So I do think it can be fixed. Just talk to him about it.

its hard, but really you have to turn him down hard so he understands that you dont like him, and just let time heal. eventually he'll come back&be friends.. hopefully.
