So my boyfriend and I were arguing over this the other day. He thinks it's Amy Lee (of Evanescence) - I think it's Cristina Scabbia (of Lacuna Coil). I suppose you can Google them for pictures because I'm too lazy to host them myself, but chyeah.

But talent-wise, I would say - Amy Lee > Cristina Scabbia. And how funny. When I went to look up pictures of Cristina, I found a few Amy Lee pictures.

Lacuna Coil = from Italy, so we hadn't heard of them until Comalies came out, really, but people assume she 'stole' Amy's style and all of that, but Cristina and Lacuna Coil have been around longer than Amy and Evanescence.

Hmm...I like Arch Enemy too, but Evanescence and Lacuna Coil are compared more often than with Angela. I mean, Arch Enemy is a whole other genre. Even still, I think Cristina's prettier.

Looks wise I think they're equally matched.
Talent wise (note I'm doing this on voice and not their bands) I'd say Amy Lee was better vocally. This is just me though. So, I voted for Amy Lee. It has nothing to do with the fact that Amy Lee (Evanescence) had more publicity or they were signed to a bigger label. |

ok, for the sake of this thread, i'll just say that i truthfully vote for Cristina. my earlier post of Angela Gossow still stands, however. She may sing a different genre but she too gets compared to Cristina and Amy in some circles.
Cristina does look kind of slutty but I've always taken it to be more a foreign thing than a personal choice. Americans might think she dresses sluttly, Europeans might think it's hot or at least accpetable.... 'Sides, if you got it, flaunt it, right? Cristina is an attractive woman. Also, people need to consider that the reason that Amy Lee doesn't flaunt it (as far as I know) is that she is a Christian and the whole band was once a Christian band. They still maintain some ties to the Christian community. Therefore, it would look really bad for Amy Lee to walk around in revealing clothes and still hold true to her faith...and her Christian fans.... Proof: Article 1 "Bring Me To Life"/ Christian Comparisons Just google for it, they were once a Christian band,...now, well, who really knows??? |

Cristina Scabbia is by far. Better looking and better voice. Lacuna Coil better music than Evanescense period.
But Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation bypasses both of them in looks and vocals.

sharon doesn't look bad... but amy does beat cristina. and cristina's vocals seem more... as accompiament to the male vocals than the main vocals. oh man i just listened to within temptation. the band rocks. i love the guitars, the bass, the drums, the piano, yes. i love the riffs, the songs, the melodies. i hate her voice. if only she didnt' sing. then it'd be perfect. |
