QUOTE
    *We have just received word that R&B icon Luther Vandross has died. He was 55.

      The singer and songwriter had been ailing since suffering a stroke in April 2003 that left him in a coma for nearly two months.  His last album, “Dance With My Father,” was released on June 10, 2003, the same week that he came out of his coma.

      More details to come.

-> Entertainment.
The news hasn't really hit the 'net yet. Haha, okay, I lied. -____-; I don't listen to the radio. Sorry, kiddo. But that song, it's alright.

Rest in Peace indeed.

the reason the news isnt on the major news sites (CNN, FOX, ETC) is because it needs to be filtered before it is available and the news just came out like 10 min ago.. rip

Wow, that's terrible. My best friend absolutely adores his music. He always forces me to listen to his music in the care. He's away right now on a cruise for vacation.. I wonder if he's heard.

His songs were about and made you feel something. His voice was absolutely classic, incredible, and one-of-a-kind. Shoot, let's face it, a lot of us 80s babies (and 90s babies) wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him.

He was truly a superstar.

Rest in peace.
