Even if you add a password to your xanga, people will still be able to find out your password from the source... so it won't be able to totally protect your xanga.

edit// u wouldnt be able to hack it by seeing the source cuz u wouldnt even be IN the xanga to see the source.... |

You can view source even if there's a pop-up asking for a password. Keyboard macos still work. =P
Most password codes require that you have the password directly in the code, otherwise they don't function. Unless you want to go through all the trouble of creating a .js file and linking it.... But you'd still be able to find the password if you really wanted to. You're far better off using either of these. It would be a very complicated matter. Just make the entries you dont want people to see private?

protect the specified entries and put the people u originally going to give password to into the protected list..
For people who doesnt have a xanga and u still want she/he to see the entry.. just create a xanga acct for that person and here comes the user name/pwd for that person to login.. just tell, "here is the user/pwd, click my name under subscription and u will see the entries" lol.. this is the easiest way to do it without codes, and i bet its the highest security u can get (using xanga's own protected list lol)... |
