ah! what is a matter with you guys!?!?! mexico is doing OK i admit i was a bit surprised when i saw mexico play they have gotten better. Brasil on the other hand, only has a few good players. such names as adriano, ronaldinho, and the other guy who is said to be the greatest i cant remeber his name right now. oh! ronalbinho? something to that effect. anyway. France is also doing better, although they arent doing great. Nederlands is getting better i think they might atleast come close to qualifying. im not sure if they will actually make it because there are a lot of teams that have actually gotten great. but my question is. doesnt anyone think england is going to win? i know for a fact germany wont win they arent very good. but england. what about england! does anyone watch the english premire league!? i mean look at englands lineup!
Name Caps Goals Position James, David 32 0 GoalKeeper Green, Robert 1 0 GoalKeeper Carson, Scott 0 0 GoalKeeper Campbell, Sol 65 1 Centre Back Brown, Wes 9 0 Centre Back Young, Luke 2 0 Centre Back Knight, Zat 2 0 Centre Back Johnson, Glenn 4 0 Defender Cole, Ashley 41 0 Left Back Beckham, David 81 16 Central Midfield Cole, Joe 23 3 Central Midfield Carrick, Michael 3 0 Central Midfield Jenas, Jermaine 12 0 Central Midfield Richardson, Kieran 2 2 Attacking Midfield Owen, Michael 70 32 Striker Smith, Alan 15 1 Striker Defoe, Jermain 12 1 Striker Crouch, Peter 1 0 Striker Johnson, Andrew 2 0 Striker Neville, Phil 52 0 Utility Player Hargreaves, Owen 26 0 Utility Player even the subs are good players! england is going to win it this year. cant wait for world cup! (i live in germany right next to the new allianz stadium : DDDDD) -Sam 1. England 2. France 3. Brasil 4. Portugal 5. Mexico |

I'm Filipino, but I support England. Unfortunately, I don't really think they're going to win. I really hope so though.
Btw, isn't England's new keeper Robinson? He's better than James. |

i don't think france will win. they had to pull zinedine zidane out of retirement because they said their newer players didn't have enough experience.
and even though england has a good lineup, i don't think they'll win either, just like last time. and i think that japan has a good chance to beat croatia to go to the final 16. i go for BRAZIL. 1. brazil 2. argentina 3. germany 4. france |

Brazil probably always will be the favourites.
This year don't rule out the German's. They're in front of their home crowd and that matters a LOT. Although, I still think Brazil will win. No Ireland in it this year |

In my opinion, those European teams (Spain, England, and France) aren't gonna make it far. If you realize, they have fame 'cuz of players AROUND the world, let's take FC Barcelona for example. The average person might say that Spain will go far in the WC 'cuz they have good players, BUT most of the good players come from other parts of the world, like Brasil...Portugal...Mexico..etc. So they loose their stars. Those teams that send their star players to play in European leagues (Brasil, USA, Mexico) have the best chance of taking the cup...get my point?

Day Two
England 1 : 0 Paraguay Sweden 0 : 0 Trinidad & Tobago Argentina 2 : 1 Ivory Coast Picks are in bold It was a VERY suprising day for me today. First, I thought England had more to offer. The only goal they got was a favor from the Paraguay side. Second, Trinidad & Tobago shows potential. How about that goal keeper? Very impressive for a last minute add-on. Sweden tied with a taste of a loss. Congrats to the T&T side! And last but not least, even though they lost 2-1 against Argentina, I never thought they had such an offense. They produced as many shots on goal as Argentina. Very good team. Congrats to another Latin team! Tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for. Mexico faces Iran. A game where Mexico is favorite. Viva Mexico! |

England was playing extremely "passive" in a way. They had subbed a lot of fowards for mid fielders. It would seem they are willing to win sloppily.

MEXICO! MEXICO! MEXICO! MEXICO!
That's whats up! My team overcame a slow start and two subs made a big difference in the second half. Omar Bravo and Zinha def. had their best game today. Next up, Angola. Day 3 Serbia and Montenegro 0 : 1 Netherlands *Mexico 3 : 1 Iran Angola 0 : 1 Portugal Picks are in bold * Fav. team! PS. I'm 7 for 8 on my predictions! Yay me! |

Day Four
Two suprises today. First, I was watching the Japan/Australia game, and when the score was 1-0 in favor of Japan, I turned off the tv with 8 mins left. Later, I found out not only had Australia tied the game, but scored two other goals to sealed the victory. That suprised me. Congrats to Australia! Second, a team that everyone expected to put a good show in the World Cup got they ass kicked really bad! Team USA needs to improve... Italia 2 : 0 Ghana USA 0 : 3 Czech Republic Australia 3 : 1 Japan Picks are in bold Current correct picks: 9/11 |

Brazil isn't gonna win the world cup. Also, enough bashing on Team USA. They got beat by the 2nd ranked team in the world.

you just dont like it cuz u and ur cozy fatty americans cant brag about soccer Really? I guess the fact that people who probably never played a game of soccer in their life bashing their own countries team isn't the real reason why I dont like it. But then, I wouldnt expect someone of your brains to undertand. |

Day Five
Day five was a day a lot of soccer fans were looking forward to live. Brasil, the creators of Joga Bonito (Beautiful Game), faced Croatia. A game that was expected more from Brasil though. But it's ONLY a start, I'm pretty sure they will show more of that joga bonito later on. France dissapointed me. 'Nough said. S. Korea pulls a suprise. Leading a group in which where Brasil is present. Reffering to the earlier posts, Team USA entered the World Cup as the 5th ranked team in the world. Sure they faced the 2nd ranked team in the world, BUT they could've still played a better game, a lot better. IMO, I think USA is out of this one. S. Korea 2 : 1 Togo France 0 : 0 Switzerland Brasil 1 : 0 Croatia *Picks are in bold Current correct picks: 11/14 |

Hmm.. Brazil didn't even TRY in that game, and they were still pretty awesome.. I can't wait until they actually play up to their potential.
I mean.. did you see those attacks?! Taylor`` |

Ecuador look like a great team, who were un-mentioned in the pre-tournament blackhorse list, but surely now they must be considered.

All I've gotta say about England v. Trinidad & Tobago is WTF. England SUCKED the first half, but those last two goals by Crouch and Gerrard were shockers. But I've gotta give it to Trinidad for holding off England for so long. They really did give it their all, and it isn't fair that England was half-assing it and still won.
But the US is pretty much screwed if they're playing Italy. |

I love England, but they should have taken care of that game a lot better, rather than scoring those two quick goals at the end. Good job to Trinidad and Tobago. Haha, I have faith for the US, but Italy is just too good. Should be fun to watch. |

DAMNIT. I wanted Trinidad to tie with England. But that goal by Gerrard was absolutely beautiful, almost as beautiful as the one Kaka made for Brazil's win over Croatia.
Personally, I think the 3 strongest teams so far are Spain, Portugal and Brazil. |

Haha, you'd be surprised. Come on, the game didn't even start yet. Maybe when the score is like...0-2, then we can say the US is screwed. We discredit countries more than we should.
But needless to say...yes, it is Italy |

^ Btw, Sweden played Paraguay, not Portugal.
Agree actually. Everyone should give Trinidad and Tobago more commendation...they're really good for a small team. Trinidad and Tobago DOES have a good team for a country that small. The only thing that really irked me in that game was the fact that Beenhakken(sp?) the coach put them basically all in defense. If they actually attacked the England defense lines more, they may have been able to pull 2-1. |
