i think the second one's pretty cool; i'd like to see it without the filter.

I like the second one most, nice blending on it. Not a bad colour. I'd love to see it without the filter though.. Word of advice, not law, but just in my opinion; Stay away from filters. Blur can be useful, :P

the effects/filters make it seem, well, weird. Lower the opacity of the first one, and like someone else already said, the 2nd would look better w/o the filter.

i don't like the first one because it's WAYY too pixelized. but the second one is pretty good for your first few blends.
 i think that you should try experimenting with brushes, next.

I really like the 2nd one. You should make another version without the filter though. But besides that, awesome job! Keep it up!

The second is beautiful but I think you should lower the opacity of the filter. And the first one with the pattern is kinda... >_>
