I don't know...I don't think that's always true. Typically I like guys who I share more interests with...because then there's more to discuss. Then again...the guy I've obsessed voer the last few years is pretty opposite of me =/

hmm, yeah i think its true only sometimes, but when it is, its because its just what you don't have in your own life y'know? basically like others have said, it creates that balance and whatnot.

Iono. With me, it was opposites at first, (John was 35, me 17, he was all serious and smooth, I was all goofy and err...un-smooth
 )...But as we got to know each other, we realized how much we had in common.You're always attracted to you opposite at first, because it's a whole different experience, and it's neat learning new stuff. But in the end, you just want to feel comfortable, to be with someone like you. |

maybe because it makes the relationship interesting. and as other ppl said, you need someone else to compliment you. like... someone who gets mad easily could be calmed by someone who's very mellow.
if 2 ppl were unadventurous, then the relationship wouldn't really get anywhere. vice versa. and stuff like that..

it's because your opposite is exotic and foreign to you.
if you were white and grew up around open minded white people, then you'd probably have a fetish for a different race because you've never been around them. this is why american girls like guys with an accent, not a lot of people here have a foreign accent. or guys in uniform, you don't see them everywhere either...you can never see enough of the NYPD...  or, if you're quiet and polite, you'd want a wild and loud partner because that's something you admire about them and if you're with them they might influence you to be like that or you'd like to see what it's like being like that or that's what's missing in your life. |
