Instant Message Javascript link, custom Options

i made a custom contact table and all the links work fine (add to friends, send message, add to favorites, ect), but i can't get the Instant Message link to work. the link seems to be a javascript that pops open a new window. i can't find the code to properly hyperlink it to my text.
can someone help me out. here's link that i'm using that give's an invalid user error:
