it's pretty amazing that a gift like that can be given for free.

i think of God as being a helping friend beside me all the time unless i decide that i don't want him there anymore, which won't happen.

At this point in my life, I do not have an opinion on this subject at all. I was forced into a Catholic religion and I'm forced to go there every Sunday and most Wednesdays. I didn't choose it, so I guess in return I really do not have an opinion on 'God.'
I believe there is something there, I guess, but I don't know what to think of it.

I don't go to church or anything. But I'm okay with people who do. Except when it feels like they're pressuring you to be like them.

I respect those who following a religion, but I don't believe any gods exist. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm comfortable with my beliefs.

I just find it hard to swallow religion. People have believed so many things over the centuries of human history, that I cannot be convinced that the Christian God is the God, for one thing. I have other reasons, but that fact alone makes me wonder.

I'm a Christian, born & raised. I don't go to church, however. I'm going to start soon.

Basically, I love God with everything I am. He gives me strength. He gives me love. He gives me the abilities to do whatever I choose to do in this precious thing called life.

Though, it does kind of bother me how people always believe every little thing was planned out by Him. I do believe he has things planned, yes, but not every little thing. So many people just sit and let life pass them by because they think everything has been planned for a reason - but if you don't go after what you want, if you don't take chances, what's the point of living?

I don't know. I guess, basically, I have a healthy relationship with Him. I tell him everything, but I'm not to the point where everything I do is based upon what I think He'd think of me or whatever. I guess I'm just not very religious.

Technically speaking, I'm Jewish (as in I still have to go temple, sunday school, etc), but I have agnostic beliefs.

As in I believe that the answer to the existence of God, whether he/she exists or not, is unknown. I don't think there's enough evidence to prove that God exists or doesn't exist.

But honestly, when I did believe in God, I pretty much only wished for silly things during silent prayer in services. ermm.gif

i believe i have a good relationship with god, i ask him to help me out and when he helps me, i feel that i have to be a better person to show him that i'm thankful since i don't buy into the bible crap.

he doesn't grant my every wish so that helps me stay grounded and appreciative.

I believe in God. I've gone to church since I was little, gone to church camp since i was old enough, and a couple days ago i started reading the Bible for fun. its quite interesting, actually. im learning a lot. but anyway. if there isnt a God, then how was the universe created? how did it get here in the first place?

I believe in God. Don't go to church or pray or anything like that, though. But I'm still a Christian.

I'm like the last Christian of my friends, because they're all trying to "rebel" against their parents by changing religions. But they won't admit that they're rebelling. I grew up a Christian, and I'll die a Christian.

kthx

I dont believe in God. I believe in Buddha. But recently, I really think that God is someone that I should be praying to everyday to protect my family and myself from harm and danger. God is someone that I can look upon on when I have trouble that I need help on. God is someone that I love ... wub.gif

I'm in a very close relationship with him.

Somehow everytime I have a problem it's only helped when I pray. It's amazing how much I've gotten after I've asked him for help and he's come through for me in someway or another. He's helped me, my friends, my family, and just people I've never met before. It's been awesome.

And people let's not have this be a "ZOMG UR LIEK WRONG CUZ BLAH BLAH BLAH" state your opinion, don't bash on others for thiers ^_^.

I used to go to church but quit... Some how one day like 4 months ago, i met this one guy and I asked him questions about God. He answer them then he convinced me to go to church. My friend said "do you want to be saved?" I said yes so just believe in him 100% and give all your heart to him. Then suddenly my eyes have a Lil bitty tears and i felt really good. It felt like I've met an old friend again after i got saved. It felt like a burst of energy is in your body.

But then i quit going to talk to that one guy at church..because i now have to work on Sundays. I felt terrible and especially on Sundays for some reason... Felt so depressed... Now and then every Sunday comes i wanna cry again.. I think he left my life..because I'm ignoring him. I don't know if he's real or not but it seems like a holy ghost was in me.. cry.gif

I'm Christian, and most of my family is very religious- My aunt, my cousins, my grandmother... But at home, we don't pray before meals, and we don't go to church, even though sometimes my mother will make me go around easter or my birthday.

But I do believe in God. I pray everynight, for my family, for my friends, and for people going through hard times. I don't read the bible very much, but I love the book of Exodus, and the Prince of Egypt, which is based on the book of Exodus.

I have Jewish family members, and... I learned a little Hebrew. (Although it was a song, so I guess it doesn't count much.)

I also look forward to going to Heaven someday, which I *hopefully* and *probably* will. ^^

God isn't only a Christian thing.
Anyways....
It's not really like a relationship, I just think that maybe there's a God out there but if there is I don't think he's really a helpful being or some almighty power. The gift of life comes from sperm + egg, ierno...

Okay, there's definitely something out there, just maybe not God.

^And you have to hold on to that feeling biggrin.gif It's the BEST feeling in the whole world, and no body can tell me it's "all in your head" or "it's all your imagination." It's humanly immpossible to feel that much joy and happiness. And also, once you ask God into your heart, he never leaves! He would never just forget about you. I promise.

Yes, just like any other issue in life, you can't judge unless you yourself have felt that feeling. Like I said before, that feeling is humanly impossible to attain on your own. So no one can tell me it's all in my head unless they themselves have actually experienced it. There truly is a God and a Holy Spirit. I am a Christian, but I don't judge others who aren't. That's not my job. My job is to try and save as many of those who aren't as I can because I love everyone and I don't want them to go to hell. It's a shame how so many people have turned their backs on God, but I don't dislike them for it. I know I'm not the the Pope or nothin, but I try and thats all God asks of me. And when I slip up, no matter how bad, He will forgive me. And for those of you who say Christians are weak because they can't make it on their own are crazy. It takes alot more to face your stubborn human pride and ask for help then to continue lost. Not trying to preach of anything, just thought I'd explain alittle why I'm a Christian. happy.gif And if your not, thats fine biggrin.gif

I was studying buddism for school, and I noticed there's a few buddists in here. I like buddism alot, it's a very peaceful and kind religion but if buddism was founded on the basis of finding your inner self and not following any God's ect. then why do you follow Buddah? Not trying to offend anyone, just wondering happy.gif

Well.. In my life... God is just awesome! God is SO real. I was born a christian, and as first I thought it was okay... Like God comforts me and I tell all my worries to God, but than I realize that I was taking advantages of God. I was taking his mercy and grace for granted. Coming back to God feeling sorry and once I get what I want, I left God again. I must admit that being a christian is really hard. Trying to overcome temptations, not taking things for granted, reading the bible, trusting God, etc... Yet everytime when God is please with me, I tends to get very happy. Althought there'll always be more difficulties in life, but it really doesn't matter. God knows everythings and will always stay faithfull, all I got to do is to put my trust and everything else in him. Which is not as easy as it sound.

Christianity is not really a reglion, is a relationship and a life style.

He's there. If I were to die tomorrow I don't think I would be spiritually ready, but it's getting there.

He's opened my eyes a lot. cool guy

I honestly don't know at this point in time.
I used to have a lot more faith and such when I was a kid until I guess I realized that the world really isn't all that friendly of a place. There's too much shit in the world and too many people who suffer. A lot of us don't see that because we're fortunate enough, but still, there is. I'd like to think that if there were a God, he'd help those who are in those types of situations. And I guess when I don't see anything like that happening, I lose a bit more faith.

i think its cool... the hard thing about being christian is keeping your promise towards God... i guess ive already broken a few rules [based off my past relationships with my boyfriends]... i dont regret it though, havent gone that far [like 4th base]... the farthest was 3rd.. but anyways, i dont think im going to stick with christianity for long, knowing me... i dont say its a good thing, and i know i will soon regret but thats what i feel, that im going to fade away from my religon

Since I'm an atheist, I don't believe in any god. And since I don't believe in 'God,' he/she/it has no effect on me.

I fell upon a quote today (It's not my quote and I mean no offense to anyone)

"The true atheist is a scholar in every religion, because if an atheist has no knoledge of religion, then they are just a moron"

It's the same concept as "You can't hate someon you don't know" or "Don't knock it til you try it"

Believing in God gives me something to hold on to and grasp. It gives me a sense of reality and the feeling that I'm not totally lost and alone. I've been fortunate in my connection with Him, and I know there are people out their who don't believe in a God and I respect them and their ideology. It's just I see things in a different shade than they do.

i used to believe in him when i was in elementary school.

then things sorta turned down the wrong path and i remember praying and asking him if he could make things better.

but the more i prayed the worse things got. and i felt like he was ignoring me or neglecting me.

so one day, i shut him out of my life and told myself that i didn't need him anymore.

ever since, i've had like 23459769238745 people try and convert me and convince me to go to their church.

i think it's about choice.

and i don't think i'm right for him.... at least not now.

i love god and whenever i can i pray to him. sometimes its just telling him thank you for something, sometimes its just to talk because theres no one else that wants to listen, and sometimes i ask him for something.

even though..it sometimes feels like god isnt helping me because god doesnt exactly answer my prayers, i continue loving him, knowing that he had a reason for not answering the prayer yet. but after awhile i just tend to get really confused and wonder if god heard my prayer at all..

although i am a christian, no one else in my family is. my dad could care less about religion and my moms a buddhist. since my family is like that, i dont get to go to church. in fact i havent gone for over a year and i really wish i could go. my mom thinks church has influenced me in a kinna bad way i guess..so yeah. sucks. and since im bored, im just gonna keep talking. when i first became a christian in fourth grade (my aunt converted me, i think), i was..so happy. for awhile, my mom was even christian. things worked out better for me and id read the bible all the time and my mom and i would pray together and things just were great. and then afterawhile.. i kind of grew apart from god. i wasnt praying as much and then my mom stopped believing after some bad things happened to her at church. and then after a year, maybe, i started praying again. but then i never felt that close to god like i did in fourth grade.. it makes me really sad and i wish i never grew apart in the first place. and blehh..things now just suck with friends and family and everything and i just keep praying and hes not answering much of my prayers anymore and i feel like im asking for too much ..so i guess i need to change the way i am..

I respect everyone's opinion and belief. I don't mean this as an insult or to create a flame war. This is my opinion....

God doesn't believe in me, so I don't believe in God.

I love Him. When I'm scared, sad, or feel like nothing's going right... he gives me the strength to go on. Just knowing he's always there for me, makes me believe that it'll all be okay. Praying to him, learning about him... makes me feel better happy.gif

Relationship with God? For the most part, I disregard the fact that He's there. In fact, I question if He is even there a lot of the time. There's not much of a relationship, but whatever's left of one, it's falling apart.

I am a struggling christian. I try to resist temptation (damn you lucifer!) and pray often, asking god to give me the strength to carry on and the holy spirit's guidance in all of my ways. But my life is dedicated to him, and my will is nothing more.

God and I, man, we close. But I am a real bad friend, servant, son, and student. But he'll look after me, that I know. God will not forsake me, even if my faith fails.

And... I have no fear of death because of my relationship with God and his Son. If had to give my life today in his name, I would do so proudly.

It's funny, since I'm chinese... ( well, half, but i consider myself full) you'd expect I'd be buddhist. But no. My faith remains with him.
