I did a search, and didn't find anything... so here goes.
My friends' little cousin has been found with lice. My friends' cousin always used to brush my hair with her hairbrush... I always seem to get lice whenever exposed, and I can't tell my mom because I got my hair to grow out... FINALLY, and she warned me that if I got them again, I was getting my hair cut boy-short. If anything should happen... are there any ways to get rid of them without buying lice treatments from the store? Last time they died because of my straightening my hair... but it's summer and I don't do that during summer. Tips? |

well if u dont want ur mom to find out, call ur aunt or grandma --whoever can do i for u and tell them not to tell ur mom.OR find a friend's mom to do it for u but YOU buy the lice treatment at the drugstore. and clean everything that wore/bedsheets etc

just get a friend or someone to drive you to the drug store to buy the shampoo. and stop using your cousin's hairbrush.

this may sound wierd, but the best way to get rid of lice is to wash you hair 2 times at day in water and vinigar and then again with regular soap

just ask one of your friends to borrow some money so u can get lice treatment. they'll udnerstand. if you dont get treatment soon, they'll grow to be big and will suck on your blood.
and yes..lice like clean hair much better than dirty hair. dirty hair is harder for them to get into. |

It's either shampoo that treats lice or boy short hair. I would choose the shampoo. You can ask your friends to chip in and pay them back.

I got lice from a girl on my bus in Kindergarten & 1st grade.... We always bought stuff from the store. I've heard that the mayo treatment works, but I'm not 100% sure. I'd just sneak it home. Tell your mom your going out with some friends & go to the store & buy something. Or tell your mom.

i have no expierence with lice. Maybe the best solution would be to tell your mom. Even if it means getting a boy hair cut. The hair will grow back eventually. But having lice is like so much scratching and its the summer also.

maybe , ask your mom for some money .... and then go to cvs or some place that has those lice medication... i know that cvs has lice medication that can help you kill it. or just put those ginger liquid thingy and pour it all over your head.. ginger thingy - wine - achohol anything... pour it over your head. and then wrap a towel around it tightly... and then wait for like 1 hour... then just wash it after 1 hour.. that is how my mom taught me .. =)

1. Stop using your cousin's brush. Get your own. Now. Really.
2. The longer the hair, the easier to get lice. So pick one. a. Wear a hat b. Hair up. c. Snip-snip. 3. Get some lice shampoo in bulk. [I'm kidding on this one, but w/e you think.] 4. Stay away from the lice giver. 5. Go to the doctor sometime. |

Hopefully she wasn't at your house otherwise you can get rid of the lice on your head right now but you're going to get it back again cause it'll be all over everything. Disgusting...I'm glad i've never had lice. Just tell your mom, she'll find out one way or another - she has a right to be angry, she probably doesn't want it either. You should know not to use someone elses brush...especially if you're over the age of 7.

I used to have lice in hawaii we call them uku's (jumping fleas) but ne way I got rid of mine by using denorex its a dandruff shampoo and using almost steaming hot water to take a shower with they hate hot things also DRY YOUR HAIR! they breed in wet/damp hair so no towel drying use a blowdryer! they will start to go away after about 4 days so just do the hot shower effect 4-6 times a month
always always blow dry your hair this is 100% affective trust me! goodluck |

My parents used to use olive oil to kill the lice, and then wash it out with boiling water. Followed with vinager to wash out the eggs and live lice. I'm not sure about the exact treatment, but i'm sure you could find it online.

I don't think they are really any super-effective ways without going to the store... =T But you can try SUPER SUPER HOT WATER, lice hate the stuff.

Lice like clean hair better because it's easier for them. But, I'd suggest to stop using the same hairbrushs ..

I had it once...if straightening kills them, I'd say just straighten it or buy the treatments at the store. But I don't reccomend the mayo. I don't think it even works and it's immpossible to get your hair back to normal & not being all greasy. Also after you wash your hair with the treatment or w//e, blow dry it on high because heat helps kill them I think.

^Yeah. I've never had lice, but I think you should take showers twice a day and wash your hair especially with special shampoo and lice conditioners.
