Do you think it's better knowing about alot about each other before going to be in a relationship? Or is it okay if you guys only know about each other a little?

Rephrase:
Do you think it's better knowing about each other before getting involved in a relationship, or is it okay if you guys only know a little about each other? It depends. If it's a shy guy, you'd rather know lots about him so you have something to talk about. But if it's an outgoing guy, then no worries, he'll have no trouble telling you all about himself. |

I think it's fine to not know a lot. Most of dating is getting to know the other person. But if you don't know them really well, you might not want to jump into a committed relationship right away; maybe date for fun first to test the waters and see if you are really compatible.

to me, it doesnt really matter. either way is fine. its just that if you know the person, then youll understand them when you go into the relationship while when you dont know much, you get to learn about them.

I don't think it matters if you know that person well enough...I mean...as long as there's something between both of you, I think it's all you really need to start dating. And when, you've dated for awhile, then I guess you can start a real relationship where both of you know alot about each other. So basically, if you don't know each other that well, then just don't stress.....because when you're on a date, you're actually getting to know each other.

I guess this kinda goes both way. I would like to date when i know a lil bit of that person and in turn learn more while you are dating, I'm more for surprise. But also at the same time I would also like to date when you kno that person very well that way u kno what that person is like and such.

you should know a decent amount. enough to be normal friends, at least. and it's just my opinion, but you should probably know the person for more than one day.
for example, this girl decided to hit on a guy friend of mine that she only knew for a day. she dumped him a month later and i was ready to kill her. ![]() |

It depends.
If you fall for your best friend and a relationship comes out of it, then you're gonna know a lot about the person. In that case, I guess it's good. BUT.. Isn't the point of relationships to get to know one another better? |

I think it's a bit better if you know a bit about each other before starting a relationship..that's where me and my ex went wrong. We barely know each other; we met each other, and felt strong attraction for each other (well, more so me than him), and the very next day, we were a couple. We barely knew each other's name before we started going out as bf/gf. I think that if we had known about each other before we went out, we would've known that we just weren't right for each other, and save a me the heartbreak.

to me i think you should know abit about that person first before going into a relationship with them, what if he/she isn't the person you expected him/her to be and you're with them. or you have nothing to talk about, since you dont know each other's interests.
