The Passion of the Christ really changed my life. Mel did a great job. Then when I went to see the Girl Next Door with my friends, my life was once changed again. These 2 movies everyone should see. Its a must.
Hellboy almost made it... it was a good movie but The Girl Next Door crushed it. Seriously crushed it. So tell your kids that these are the two rated R movies to see: The Passion of the Christ The Girl Next Door ps: Great movies start with "The" |

The Passion of The Christ was an amazing movie...I cried through the whole thing and I don't know why, it was awful to watch but made me really think!
As for The Girl Next Door I haven't gotten around to seeing it, what made it so good? Another good movie is Thirteen, it was pretty good and made you realize all the sh*t kids can get themselves into at an early age, also it was written in less than a week by the main character, a thirteen year old! |

Eh...I don't want to see The Passion seeing that I'm agnostic, but I'll probably be dragged there by one of my friends. Haha. I don't think that will change my life too much. Same thing with The Girl Next Door...isn't that about some porn star that moves in next to this high school kid? Yeah...doesn't sound like a life changer to me. If I were to name a movie that changed my life in some way, I'd have to say either From Hell because I'm obsessed with Johnny Depp now, or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind because it really made me think about life and love altogether. Heh. There's my two cents.

Haha, I knew it. The Passion's winning.
It's just amazing how things are just better when they're featured on Cinema. For me, Saving Private Ryan. It's the movie that made me want to be a soldier. - Chinkieeyedpnoi |

The Passion of the Christ was an amazing movie. It had such an impact on everyone who watched it, I think. I agree that Mel did a fantastic job.

the only movies that've changed my life EVER were halloween(it made me realise that horror movies are the COOLEST!) and bowling for columbine (it prooved how america is too darn nebby with the rest of the world for no reasons)
the passion seems like a bad movie, though, because i hear it's anti-sematic and that ain't coo. now "jesus christ: vampire hunter". theres a movie to... what's the word i'm looking for... enrich your faith in jesus. it shows how much of a cool guy jesus is! and he is great at kung fu! |

Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark
This movie changed my life because it got me interested in archaeology, which I never really grew out of. Now, I'm almost done with college, and really close to getting a BA in Archaeology. So I can be just like Indiana ... without the cool adventures, Nazis, and women in every country. |

QUOTE the passion seems like a bad movie, though, because i hear it's anti-sematic and that ain't coo. Jesus WAS a jew....how could the movie depicting his death have been anti-semitic? Well it wasn't. The critics just needed something bad to say about the movie, so they chose that. Why dont you watch the movie and decide for yourself? |

Oh wow...I wrote a really long entry about this in my xanga...Here is what it says:
"First off I went to go watch the Punisher with Erik and a few friends. It was a good movie, but not in the sense that it was a good movie. It was a good movie because it was realistic. Not many action movies out there are very realistic. But anyways this movie tought me so many things. It showed me that things in life are worth fighting for. Somethings in life are worth dying for. There are somethings in life that cant be answered not because they dont have an answer but because a person cant put his feelings into words. It showed that there are going to be times in your life when push comes to shove you either walk away or you stand your ground. You either take the hit, or you back off. There are somethings that life can take away, but life cant take away your memories. Nothing can. Your memories are worth fighting for. Your memories are yours to keep whether you like them or not. Your memories can kill you, but at the same time, your memories can save you. The guy in the movie fought for his memories. Perhaps Im fighting for mine. The other movie i watched was Invicible. Great movie about how the elements in the world have to come together to fight the forces of evil. Its by watching this that I've learned that sometimes in life you cant do everything on your own. That somethings in life you need a team to help you through. A team to stand up with you, fight along side with you, and pick you up when your down. In life we really do need our teams. We need our friends, our religions, our parents, our family. We need all these things to make it through. They will always be the ones to carry us when were wounded. They are the ones who will stand up for you when your down. They'll be the ones to will help you learn, who will help you teach, and who will help you interperite. It also said that something when combined with another can give you a huge advantage. Take the elements for example: Wind, Water, Fire, Metal, and light. Those were the ones in the movie. Wind alone can be very destructive. Its all around us, constantly moving. Combine wind and water and it creates blistering storms and punishing drops of rain. Much like life. Combine you and a friend and you can help reach out to other people. Combine you and your teachers and you can help teach the people around you... Combine you and gods love and his mercey, and your unstopable. There are so many combinations around you that the possibilities of how powerful you can be are limitless. The power in your heart burns like a million candles, but combine your heart with another, and your beacon of light shines like a star. The last movie The last Samuri was simply great. Perhaps that movie tought me more things than any. First no one should be closed minded. We as people have brains, and it should be our job to use them. We should learn different things. Learn to accept different religions, different beliefs, different customs. There is nothing wrong with learning about something else. Its ok to learn about your enemy. Its ok to be curious of someones religion. So why not look at it and study it. If you've mastered a technique, look at different style to make your technique faster, better, more efficiant. If you've learned how to make something, try and make it with greater perfection. The movie also tought me that every person has honor, and that every person should die with one. No one should die without their it. It showed me that tradition, honor, and beliefs are all worth fighting for. That the teachings your ancestors tought, and the traditions that were passed down are priceless and should never be given up. I also learned that winning a battle isnt always who is left standing in the end. That winning a battle is merely who fought harder. We all fight to win. But sometimes just sometimes a person goes all out with everything he could. He does everything with passion, heart, and determination, that no matter what happens he wins the battle. He didnt win because he was left standing when the dust settled, but he was the one who laid it all down on the line. It was him who deserved the respect, the glory, the victory. Maybe...Just maybe...My battle will be won" |
