Okay, here's the story:

A few weeks ago I had an argument with my friend Valerie... She was mad because I was telling another friend, Steven, about how she had 3 boyfriends at one time. And I told Valerie, 'Well, I'm not denying it, but I just want you to know... I wasn't the only one, Angela was telling him the same things.'

Well, now Angela is mad at me, and she says that I was talking about her behind her back. I wasn't, really, I was just making a point, and I don't think she should act like Valerie's friend when she's also saying stuff about her. Anyway, I found something by Angela today saying how her true friends won't talk about her behind her back.

I feel bad that she thinks that, but here's the thing... Angela and I have been into so many arguements, I'm sick of it. To be honest, I don't want to be friends with her anymore. She makes me feel like I have to watch everything I do or she'll be mad at me. So basically, I want to tell her, 'I wasn't talking about you', but One: She won't listen. And two: That might lead to us making up and being friends again, which, quite frankly, I do not want.

I want to end the friendship, but I don't want us going into 8th grade still being angry at eachother. (I'm mad at her because she was calling me a slut, and she's mad at me, because I was "talking about her behind her back".)

If you don't understand, just say and I'll try to explain it better, but what should I do?

Well... I dunno... I don't have the heart to say something like, "I'm sorry for "talking behind your back", but I still don't want to be friends."

^ You're right. Because to "make up" is to drop the argument and continue being friends. So.. your situation isn't exactly easy to deal with.

To tell the truth, you did kinda backstab Angela when you told Valerie that Angela was also talking behind her back. ermm.gif All you can do now is either wait for her anger to fade out or make up. mellow.gif

^Well, I guess maybe I did, but it's just that, Valerie was getting so pissed off... and Angela is actually worse than I am with the whole Valerie situation. But I didn't say that part.

just say something like "i dont want to go into eigth grade with the two of us hating each other... so i just wanted to say sorry about the whole thing and maybe youll forgive me." and if you dont want to continue being friends... just smile and wave to her in the hall but dont talk or anything.

I know you were just making a point, but you did talk about Angela behind her back when you told Valerie that she was talking about her. If you don't want to be friends anymore then why would you even bother making up? Just go to her and say sorry but to be honest, it'll fade away on its own....it's not like the problem is that big of an issue. However....if you really want the argument to resolve quickly, just go up to her and apologize. After that...you can just greet her and move on everytime you see her in the hallways.

you could just say "f**k it" and move on. I know it sounds cold, but sometimes, if a person won't appreciate you for you, its not worth it. I know the exact situation.

I'd rather not elaborate on it here.
