sorry to double post, but by the time i got back, the topic was closed.
i was given this code


problem is im not sure how to use it. this is the site i want it for this site
i want it right above the "think of me thursday" (date)
when i tried it, i put it in my header but it took up the whole top & was transparent background with black righting. i just saw that i have to change the pixel width et to what i want. but how do i change the background & font color?

uh for the box that the codes supose to make

but i kinda figured that out, i just copy & pasted the font color & background color codes from my blog area. but now i got another problem. when i put the code in my custom header, theres a HUGE space above & below it, & there's not outline around it.
how can i make it look exacly like my blog area but it be above it with no date? kinda like how they do
(the box with the pics & info above the rest)

put that in your custom header... there shouldn't be a date there, then.
that makes it the background color, border, and stuff. you'll have to edit the width, height, and the margin left to position it..

Hi im a newbie and wondering where it says your creatblog.com code whats that? I didn't get any code for anything or does it just mean "here why dont you just take this skin and copy it without any of the hard work i put in this okay your great bye bye". And where it says USERNAME do i just leave as that or do i have to do actual work in the thing and put my information down? IM really lost now so i would gladly appriciate it greatly okay well i guess i will go back and play some games....

^ createblog.com code is placed in the code, so you know it's from createblog. and also the USERNAME, you have to replace it with your own xanga username. and please next time, create a new topic

ok well here's what happened.
see those eyes, trees & other symbols under the header? that's what got added. if i change the words, different pics show up. whats going on?

you must've changed your font to webdings or windings.

ok, that's kinda what i was thinking. i just don't know how i woulda done that. this is the whole layout code i have in my header(just in case)

k that worked, kinda. this is what i got out of it. problem is, if i type to much, the box just gets bigger, how do i make it scroll?

k ya o feel dumb, that was ovious. (havent slep in over 48, grad party last night so im kinda slow)thnx for all the help.... i'll try to stop buggin everyone now
