k 2 questions
i bet this is REALLY simple, but i just learned how to make a layout & i wanted to have a pic instead of type as the header. i've got a background pick too, but i made 1 with words that i want to stick to & scroll up as the blog moves up another thing i want to know, is how to make it so you have 1 pic as the background that covers the whole page. do you just make a normal image with a certain size. if so, what is the size? |

1. are you saying you want a banner? or what picture and where?
2.having the background scroll or fixed? is that what you're saying? edit:// well for the background, if they are the same you can make them repeat vertically or horizontally so it's all the same. if not, can you give and example |

that's probably a banner she created, and as for the background, when you create a layout it shows something like background-image: url() tha't's where you can put your image, and you can make it fixed (which doesn't scroll with your xanga) or not.

um thnx but that link didnt help at all.. i didnt see anything to do with what im looking for. i got the banner thing figured out tho. & for the background, someone told me just to make a big pic 1024x768, is that pixels? i tired making 1 that big & it's smaller than my screen

the plane pics are two different images like you figured out, one a banner and one a background image. her background image is 500px by 500px and yes, that is small but it only appears like it takes up the entire screen cause she positioned it to the bottom right with no repeat, all options found on the look and feel page of your xanga (you can even make out the outline of her image) just jot down the bg color you used on your image and make that the bg color of your xanga page and it'll hopefully look seamless...hope it's not too confusing.

ya, and also if you want to to scroll with your page, make sure you fix the position. if you want it to scroll down type -y (for vertical) if you need help you can pm me if you want
