ok well i have this really good guy friend& i've been hearing hes gonna ask me out,i think hes a really great person but...hes shorter then me,it bugs me sometimes because if i hug him or something im prolly gonna have to bend down a lil and i find that just a little weird because usually guys are suppose to be taller then you to protect you & stuff
 so my question is; would you date a guy shorter then you? & what should i do

it doesnt matter what he looks like.
it matters about how much he loves you, his personality, and how he treats you. My ex-bf used to be shorter than me, I had no problem! The only reason he's my ex is because he was too perverted. |

Not sure. But I would date a shorter guy than me. Even though they were short and all. But is he really that short? (: Lol. Anyways doesn't really matter.

i know its horrible, but i wouldnt go out with a shorter guy. But if hes nice I would. I dont really care about looks. If hes yuor friend, that could be a problem. I never go out with my friends, except for once, cuz we were friends, but we were kind o crushing on each other the whole time and didnt know it

I have done it before, actually. Twice, counting my current relationship. It shouldn't matter what they look like.  My ex was almost seven inches shorter than me at the time. My current boyfriend is about four inches shorter than me. It's not a big deal. |

Well.....I'm not sure how to answer this question....few guys are ever shorter than me...they're always taller than me...but anyways, it shouldn't matter how tall he is....just how he treats you. You should date someone based on their personality, not how they look....

i mean i dont think that i would go out with a guy that was like a clear 4 or 5 inches then me its kinda shallow but when i think about it at first i would say no, but if i really liked thsi guy then there would definetly be a chance. and are you considered tall? because if you were one of the taller girls at your school then there really aren't many options  if you really like him don't worry about what other people think, and plus depending on liek how old you guys are then he will probably still grow |

yea I'll date a guy shorter than me.. but if he's more than 2 inches shorter than me I'll probably feel somewhat awkard and turned off. My current bf is almost 2 inches shorter than me. But i still love him. *points and laughs at bf* =o} I think u should give him a chance at least..

Yeah, it is awkward.
If he's a good enough person for you that you can look past that, then go for it. Do whatever you think is best. Maybe you shouldn't depend on height to determine a relationship, but if it really bothers you that much, just tell him you'd rather be friends.

well it doesn't really matter to me unless the guy is like less than 1 inch shorter heh ;D but it's the personality you should think about. if the guy's a total jerk then don't go out with him. if he's someone you think you'd be happy with if this relationship does work out, go for it.

and who's the guy. and it depends on the girl too. i mean some girls care what other people think about her and her bf. no matter what they're gonna talk it really depends. like this girl at my school she's dating a guy a year younger than her. she got made fun of but she sticked it out with him. and they're still together so yea...it really depends. i couldn ever date a guy 2 or more shorter than me i probably couldnt date him (i'm 5"2) |
