well..this year im in student government and im suppose to be coming up with ideas for a carnival-themed homecoming. im suppose to be coming up with different days (as in how to dress up and such) for the week, the lunch time activities, how the assembly would be done, how it would include alumni and how the football game would be decorated..

i only have a few obvious ideas such as carnival booths (snowcones, cotton candy, popcorn, etc.) at the actual game, activities including the regular carnival games (balloon darts, ring toss, pie eating contest, guessing age/weight...), and a mini-parade (we're going to have floats this year)....

and since i've been lacking in creativity and ideas since summer has started, i was just hoping if anybody had any ideas to help me or any other ideas to add on to what i already have ..which isn't much. thanks..anything would help really. happy.gif

when you said how to dress up for each day of the week are you suggesting a spirit week? like with themes in each day?
well we have those at our school. some of the ideas are
&& hawaii day<--good for summer
&& pajama day (ordinary)
&& bring your own banana day <--so original! have student govn. bring buckets of cheapo icecream and serve banana splits! and you dont have to buy the bananas wink.gif

hope it helpd. il get back with more if i think of some.

we have "hat day" like you pay $1 as a donation to the school and they stamp your hand and you are allowed to wear a hat that day.(if i were you i'd also have a contest to see who can wear the weirdest hat lol)

see if you can hire a dunking booth, put teachers on there, always funny.

if its carnival themed, one could involve people coming in made-up as clowns?

also, a fortune teller is always fun

oh wow, i miss highschool!

^ its weird that i can actually say that

anyways

you know how in carnivals they have like come see the worlds smallest horse <- you can have like your teachers participate in this and like have the booth named come see the meanest teacher or crap like that
