is there any way you can forget someone?, possibly any way? Options

im suffering in this situation well not literally suffering but yeh. uhm i am basically holding onto a dream that won't come true. i like this guy in school but there's no way we could have a chance. and i just want to know ways which you can forget someone eventhough you see them at school sometimes. i don't know if this is being posted but please list some ways on how u can forget someone.

ps. i know this is sad, but therez no way i cud solve this.

wow i know what you mean...i my self have this issue with this guy you see i am like in love with him and i dont know why. he looks at me and we click, but he does not dare tell anyone he may like me because he is like a smart, good looking jock. And i am just a regular old gal that stays to her self and keeps at her school work.

any way the best way i find is to erase the person from you heart. i know this may sound very difficult, but i know you can do it.
what you do is think that that person is the worst person in the world and that you and him would most definately not hit if off. and then you of course find a new guy to crush on. (this is extreamly difficult at my school :P)

i don't think it's fair to forget him by pretending he's a jerk, if he never was in the first place. yea, he may have some bad spots, but that doesnt mean you should only think of those things just to get over him.

unless u have brain damage or something...then nope. u will remember forever. if they were special to u, then u'll probably think about them a lot too. but the best advise i can give to you is: pretend to forget about them. or pretend you dont care. pretend. mabye you can convince yourself. just a little.

1. i found someone else so u can just wait for a little or try to find someone else
2. ask your friends on what they think
3. hang around with ur friends sometime and have fun for some day
4. move schools. lol if its really that bad then yeah.
5. its almost summer.. try to have fun and forget
6. talk to God and tell him about your life as a bestfriend

anything is possible and this is one of those possibilities.

you seem to be pretty young and you have your whole life ahead of you where you will be forgetting people as you move onto the next friend, boyfriend, place.

i'd be surprised if you could remember every single thing you said yesterday to every single person you came in contact.

i've gotten over a first love and yes, it took a few months but it happened and it made me a stronger person then what i use to be. patience is a virtue. you have to keep yourself busy with other things that you enjoy while you forget him. the way that i forgot about my love was basically wiping him out of my life. easier said then done because deep down i will never forget him, but all of the pain that he caused me was not a reason to dwell. he got on with his life which gave me more of a reason to continue mine and move on. lifes too short to waste it on depression and sadness from thinking of one person that you had feelings for. and never use someone else to get over how you felt for someone else, because you will lose that momentary person as well and it won't get you anywhere. you have to get over him on your own with no one elses physical help. keep yourself busy, and think of him as an ex-friend. those are always easy to get over. guys shouldn't be any different. good luck.

it's really hard actually. i remember when i tried. @.@ took like two whole months. but i just basically made this list of everything that's wrong with the guy and then i looked at it every day. then, i'm not quite sure how i did it, but i sort of erased him from my memory, and i tried to hate him and stuff. and i also got a new crush.

but the reason i tried to "forget" him was because he was moving in 40 days. now he left, and i never really told him.

Yeah, I know how hard it is. It's been happening to me lately.

I know this may seem strange, but just talk to yourself about it. The only person that really knows you best is you. Talk about all the reasons why it's pointless to like him. It's going to be difficult, and it may not always work whenever you want it to, but you do feel a lot better, getting out all of those words that you want to say.

well....i'm sort of going through that. My personal opinion is to never lie to yourself. I read some of the earlier posts and i'm not against it or anything but i just believe lying doesn't work well in this situation. What i suggest is to repeat things to yourself. He's only one guy in your life. In college or whenever, yu'll find sum1 better. You'll find someone who's not ashamed of liking you. In the future, you'll find someone better. Just keep repeating that to yourself. Also, keep yourself preoccupied. Don't think about him that often.

Now, if only i can take my own advice...

Spend all your free time that you would normally spend thinking about him, doing something like working out or studying.

For me the easiest way to get over someone is to meet new people. They cold be new friends new guys whatever. I did that and I got over my ex in no time. I was very shocked at myself because I thought I'd never get over him.
