So, why did you pick the guitar you have? What kind is it? Your favorite guitarist uses the same one? Or you just like it?
I plan on getting one soon, but I have no clue.  I am going to a music store sometime this week.edit/ sorry if something like this has been posted. I didn't see a topic about WHY you got a certain guitar. |

I don't have a guitar. But I did ahve one, I'd choose something that's pretty, comfortable, and the one people recommend.

i get an electric guitar that sounds good. something that's not too pricey either. sometimes i wanted what my favorite guitarist had like the gibson les paul that billie joe has. but... i'd rather get something that sounds good.
i have a black electric yamaha which doesnt sound that bad but i had to start with something not too much.. now that i've been playing for long i decided to go buy a fender strat or something. they sound really good. if i had a lot of money i'd buy a prs but im too broke for that! |

I picked mine for alot of reasons
It was pricey, but not over the top. It sounded fantastic compared to alot of guitars. It was not glazed. Glazed is gross. well in my opinion It had a narrow fret board..easier on small hands Its ALL CANADIAN WOOD XD Black with light beige lining is hawt. |

I have an acoustic.
I don't know about the brand. It was my dad's and he let me have it after I got more advanced. I also have a black and white Fender strat. Electric, yes. It's so pretty. No, none of my favorites play it, but it is so classy. |

Well, I don't play the guitar...yet. However, when (if) I start, I want a pink acoustic that will probably pricey because I want it to sound amazing!

if this is your first time getting a guitar, you should get a trusted brand name first like yamaha or something. then when you get really really really good, beg ur parents for something you know you will spend countless hours on =)
