i need to make one more text box on the skin, and i am using photoshop. I want to make a rectange box, how would i do that?? and one more thing how do i make the box so that i can still see the pic behind it but its just somewhat faded?? please help me!! thanks!!

Use the rectangle tool and choose a color (white always works). Then on the Layer Palette, lower the opacity of that layer.

the rectangular marquee tool amkes the box a square not a rectangle

I meant the rectangle shape tool. But it works both ways. It shouldn't make it a box unless you're holding the shift button or you specified a specific size or ratio on the tool toolbar. If you did, then erase it and it will come out a rectangle.
Please don't double post. Use the edit button. This is for the rectangular marquee tool: On the regular toolbar with all the buttons on it, there should be two squares at the bottom. Click on the top one and the color palette should show up. Pick a color and click OK. Make sure you're rectangle is selected. then press alt+backspace to fill it in. |
